A great company to work at. Employees are taken care of. Staff development and Nedbank offers free learning to its employees for their growth
Great working culture Good leadership from top management One company that is strict with risk mitigation. Care for its employees. Opportunities available for employees to learn and grow.
Management communication is good. Support structure.
Lots of pressure with system challenges.
Nedbank is a great place to work. People centred and takes care of its employees. Its big on accountability and change. Employees need to be agile to adabt to change. Always upskilling the staff by assisting with courses that are relevent to assist with coping and growing in the organisation
Theres always support
great company to work really cares alot about its staff. Needs to put more emphasis on its Information Systems and perhaps have fewer decision makers in the business as current scope of managers is too wide.
Exciting and challenging at the same time, because of being exposed to different personalities and serving a different client base with different needs. I gained a lot of experience in terms of how to manage and lead at the same time developing oneself academically. Almost busy each and every day to such an extent that one would not see how quick a day passes by. The most enjoyable part was when one holds meetings with staff, one gets to realize how brilliant some of our subordinates are when we have meaningful engagement and insights that one gains from holding such meetings, as well as sharing ideas and also provide guidance and motivation despite challenges that life might bring
My typical day would consist of a morning meeting, to discuss various important features, which would range from the current productivity of the branch and individuals. Focus areas on our profitability and revenue levers. Planning, Briefing, Executing - tracking during the day Debriefing Coaching individuals personally whilst affording them the opportunity to grow. Hardest part of my job, is not reaching the full potential (or unfulfilled potential ) missed for the day. Most enjoyable is interacting with staff and clients.
Managing your own time
None at present

Professional Company with all strategies and values of utmost important to grow digital banking to the highest level and training and adoption to change as one of key strategies. Change of new products or services is rushed on to employees and managers has to take responsibility to train and coach staff with new changes and to embrace these changes
Always clear on cost saving and profits
Senior management not always available to visit branches
I have numerous experience in banking services. I also obtained RE 5 in fais.I am a self motivated person that loves a challenge. I am unfortunately retired, but has so much more to give.I am trustworthy and reliable and can be depended upon to deliver on tasks allocated.
A very fast paced and dynamic environment where each day may present it's own challenges. Being the "face" of the company to clients meant that all staff had to be fully aufet with all our products and services and be exemplary at providing unbeatable service. Management was great and always available when the need arose. Workplace culture resembled being part of a family who took pride in everything that was done and the service we provided. The toughest part of the job was the length of time management took to implement an idea or decision. The most enjoyable part of the job was the interaction with clients and the diversity that was experienced.
Staff family days, days off, incentives
Frequent extended hours despite poor footfall
I absolutely love what I do and sales is my passion. The culture in Nedbank is great and I just feel that I have been in banking forever and need a new challenge on a different environment where I will still be client facing and dealing with clients. I must say in my years of working for this organisation I have really grow a lot and learn a lot around the macro economic environments in south African and how does it have a direct influence the way we do business and what the services demand is now that we are spoilt for choice .
resources(supply vs demand)
Well planned day at work where all plans executed to the fullest and results are admirable. Learnings were in all challenges there must be a lesson and success is derived from ensuring that human resources are taken care of not only on paper but on reality. Management is about managing items and reports but lead people is the key to any business success. The goal and aim in my career to stretch and achieve best results even one who never believe in ones strength when results presented feel great and proud. The hardest part in my current role is the fact that there is too much red line as manager not equiped enough to run business as your own franchise and systems are not supporting the role at certain cases one has to rely to back end for servicing the client. Most enjoyable when team achieve and exceed and ranked number 1
