Having worked at this company during various stages of my career it is indeed the leaders and managers that makes all the difference currently there is a vacuum of highly skilled and competent managers there are so many young managers that don’t have relevant experience to navigate difficult situations lack of respect reflect and high levels of entitlement

nestle is purely toxic. management is always trying to get people fired and ruin their olives just because they think better than them and do better than them.

Nestle is the best company to work for, they offer competitive salary, they treat their workers with dignity, and they have internal programs for their employees to keep up with the world standards by the inviting experts to teach their employees new methods that will help them to grow in their field, therefore the company grows as well. The management motivates employees frequently. thmanagement cocon

Review operations on a daily basis, what happened the day before, what where the challenges met, come up with solutions and set targets for the current day. I have learned to manage my stakeholders(my team, external & internal customers and my manage). I needed to carefully pay attention to performing each of the key management roles of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. I had to manage the performance of my team inspire and coach them. Manage departmental budget and service agreement levels. The working environment is based on respect for self , others and the company values. The hardest part of the job is when factories have out of norm hygiene levels, where the factory is in urgent need of analytical results in order to release the product to the market on time. The most enjoyable part of my job is when I get a buy in from my team on delivering results on time and watch them run with the idea to completion. .
Pros
Performance is rewarded
Cons
Long hours when there is a business need

A typical day at work will start by checking e-mails at the office then go to the lab to prepare sensory evaluation, then after the evaluation will be spending the day at the microlab or chemistry lab. I learnt to start at the bottom and every challenge has its own experience. I loved the culture and the unity in the workplace. The most enjoyable part of the job is doing retail audits and challenging the market and interacting with consumers. I had a very supportive management who gave me opportunities to learn and grow, also to make mistakes and learn from them.

freebies

Opportunity exist to further develop and improve yourself within the company. Management mostly knowledgeable and open to criticism.

Work was what you made of it, it depended on how one wanted it to be. I enjoyed being taught how to make different products that the factory made.

I was employed as an assistant coffee operator and then a forklift driver.
Pros
Overtime, Training, Medical aid and bursaries for family members
Cons
Well being of different employees regarding occupational diseases

Working at Nestle has give me great opportunities and experience. I have learnt to become a great leader , I am blessed to have such a great job. I have grown from being a Sales assistant into a sales executive and currently i hold the role of being a Sales Manager , i am a coach and leader to 4 Sales Executives , 1 Field Sales Manager and 1 Alternate Trade manager. The hardest part in my job was finding out what each person in my team requires in order to be motivated , I spent a great deal of time with them , At the moment they are all doing so well , I treat them all the same but in different ways , I know who needs Micro Managing , I know who needs motivation it has been a great learning experience. They have also helped me become the leader I am today
Pros
flexible
Cons
being on the road is not safe in south africa
