Great learning experience

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
It was an experiential training as part of the course so we didn't have any benefits as students but the pay was good at the time and the people were quite friendly and easy to work with

Free lunches as we were the only females at the time

Overtime was not allowed and we wanted it and no benefits no bonus

Personal and career growth / development

My typical day is unpredictable. I manage a team in sales and well as the marketing function of a brand. Steering the team and the brand to create sales and ROI. It has probably been the single most rewarding career development that i have achieved to date. Work place culture is strained as the business is going through structural changes. I suspect the hardest part of my job is managing people. The most rewarding is being allowed to use my creativity, teach other, coaching my team and learning from them.

healthy environment

I was working shifts and e were short staffed so work, family balance was bad. I was one of the two Senior Millwright on site and we worked very long hours.2009 I was Shot and I became a quadriplegic. that is when I moved to Nestle Head office and I was offered Service Desk analyst.

productive and fun

Everyday was fun when target were archived, I have learned to be firm and take responsibility for the whole factory at night shift. Management had trust in me because they would expect me to be spontaneous and take decisive decision. The hardest part for me was when I reach a stage where I must discipline staff, I had to balance whats best for the company and coach my subordinate to ensure that there is no repeat,

Productive and training of employees a priority,

Walk the factory, monitoring of quality systems/awareness of employees, on the job training. enhanced training through training others. Working together as a team (Mission Directed Work Teams) The hardest part of the job is meeting production requirements whilst maintaining quality especially when blocking lines and products The most enjoyable was training and solving quality problems and coming up with innovations

Chrismas parties, women's day celebrations, family days

long hours, unpredictable hours

Innovative and Results Focused working environment

Would be reviewing where the business and client currently is tracking and how far we have to go to achieve the yearly and monthly target. Tracking what current promotions is in place and how far is the sales team in executing the promotional plan. Uploading deals that was negotiated and review return on investment to the business. Lunch time has to spent in the canteen or you can choose to make yous of the gym facilities. Trade visits to track business execution and implementation in the stores.

Focus on value of products and how it can benefit the consumer.

Some staff talents get lost in the Nestle business system, Older staff refuse to move into retirement.
