I loved the benefits at Old Mutual, the company culture is great and they care about their employees in terms of their growth and development. They also have an onsite gym, mall and creche.
Employee benefits are great, competitive salaries, performance incentives, group life cover, free parking, onsite mall, creche and gym.
Specialized roles, exposure to a variety of functions can be limited.
Salary is too little it does not cover the expenses it does not help to uplift you, unable to pay for basic needs. You get less motivate at the end of the month pension is also growing too little. The work is okay the culture and the people you work with excellent.
Answer incoming calls, do amendments, work with brokers directly, learned that brokers always seemed to know everything, they use to the old ways, telling them about new processed in place always created problems, but I could work around that, excellent listening skills, always got great reviews/feedback from brokers, was nominated for emerald award for sales and service. was top performer in up selling products- short term insurance. I loved the wow moment of brokers and their delight when they received good service, always got good ratings. System was sometimes slow, new legislation and processes always take long to get use to, but we over came it. Utmost respect for each other's culture, respect and integrity. Salary was good, working hours was perfect, no stress, everyone did their part, team leader great to work with, always pushing you to your limits, always saw the good in others, always had a kind word.

Old Mutual is what you would expect from a large corporation. Good management structures in place and have been for a long time. At times it may become to feel as if you're just another number and it can be tricky to work your way up to higher positions as the senior staff members have been around for a long time
We can support our family and be able to lwork individuals and be able to perform well. Working there as a financial advisor was the best job I ever had. I meet my target every week and every month. I get my bonuses every 3rd month. My job was challenging but I joy doing what I was doing without any push
Working at Old Mutual is the worst thing one can do... especially if you are qualified in other fields and end up working there due to lack of employment. You do all the ground work and top management gets all the fat cheques. You dont get paid some months and you still expected to perform with no basic salary or a salary at all. You are sold dreams when you go through the interview process and you only get to learn the spade work when you start working. Leaving Old Mutual mean debt follows you. They make you pay to the last training and meals they served you there. For such a big Company, it is actually treating it employees bad. All that leads to severe stress, non performance and the lowest rate of employee retention. 90% Employees resign from the 4th month normally.
Upmarket, beautuful and well maintained offices that end up empty
You have flexible working hours.
I had a good working experience and you get to make you salary, receive good coaching. The thing I did not like is the fact that I had do debt collections and assisted clients with taking new loans and do the admin work while on the other hand you have to service policy clients and open banking accounts, sell car insurance, debt counseling and loan insurances. However I feel it taught me. toto be am
