NVery nice company to work for. Enjoyed learning the different processes of woven and knitted fabrics. The employees are very nice and welcoming. The management understands the importance of on the job training for their employees as well as providing life skills.

Management

New management is clueless about the job and displays a lot of favoritism. If you are liked you will have a bright future under certain managers if not they will discover some way to remove you from the company.

Pros

Pay and employee benefits.

Cons

Management ignorance

Negative and over worked place of employment

You work long hours for 6 days a week only one day off a month, really don’t see growth in the company just favoritism. Inconsistency. They make a lot of rules for employees but management doesn’t follow it.

Pros

The t shirts, uniforms, discounts for employees

Cons

Management, no appreciation of the workers

Terrible culture

They work you to the bone and you are replaceable no matter how hard you work. If you ask for a day off forget and expect to work many hours of overtime. Your body will only thank you if you quit as the physical labor is brutal.

Great Place to Work

Doesn't matter where you are. You get what you put into your career. But just like anywhere...there's always room for improvement. PBV rewards hard work.

Poor management lack of communication and overworked

You are given way more work than necessary and usually left alone to do it. Work life balance is trash management doesn't communicate and hardly ever answers their phones. Lots of the trucks are trash and barely run causing more problems bc it takes longer to find a truck that works to make your route. Lots of small format stores have horrible parking lots and are very tight inside to put the product up, if this job was to "JUST deliver" it would be fantastic, but unfortunately the product needs to be delivered rotated and stocked, andnsome stores their management are stubborn. The money isn't bad but you are going to kill yourself physically to make it..

Pros

Free CDL

Cons

Long hours, driving in violation, poor management, poor communication, extremely tiring work, very repetitive, some stores take forever to check in.

Not a fun workplace

You are over worked and under paid and never get a raise, the company makes more and moreevery year and they take and take from the employees, nothing but corporate greed here

Cdl driver

They start you out with $17-$18 a hour which is a major pay decrease ($400 a week difference) from my last job. If you need experience then this may not be bad, but know it’s a lot of physical labor for little pay.

Pros

Home daily

Cons

Pay

Company Trying to Progress too Quickly

I've worked with PBV for several years and many changes have been implemented, some of which are beneficial. The changes as of recent are arguably some of the worst decisions I've seen the company make. There have been many management shifts, poor communication, and impactful decisions being made without the employees being included in these discussions (when they definitely should be if it affects their day-to-day lives). Many new policies, philosophies, and processes are being put forth without fully understanding the potential risks. I've had one good manager and 4 bad ones. The hardest part of the job is not having a support system. The most enjoyable part of the job is building relationships with my coworkers and the pay is decent.

Pros

401k, Pto

Cons

high deductible health insurance, management practices, little room for growth

Poor management

The job in and of itself is not hard, aggravating but not hard. If your a driver then it’s sweat in the summer and rain in the winter, merchandisers and warehouse is probably the best way to go because there is NO accountability for them especially if they are part time. Cold bottle sales men seem to have it ok, bonus is solely on the individual , bulk salesman(grocery stores) their bonus is based on the collective not on the individual. Smaller companies around here offer better compensation. They will not listen when there is a problem with management or any other problem, it’s either ignored or you will be found at fault for the problem.

Pros

Solo and price of drinks

Cons

Management, pay, don’t listen

Mediocre pay and intense labor

The only positive to this job was getting paid weekly. Aside from that, it was a terrible experience. Management is terrible in addition to the employees that work and all the various store locations that I was sent to

Career that finally helped me become independent

I'm currently employed and enjoy the job. I've done many things throughout life and this job is a good balance. I'm in air conditioned facility all day. I get to travel from store to store, not confined to the same four walls all day and I'm not micromanaged. I enjoy the people I interact with from day to day and I enjoy the job. It is physical and you can make your back sore, but it's rewarding. The company likes to promote within. Two of the managers in my department started out as trainees. Even our divisional vice president started out here as a trainee. There is stress if you let little things get to you, but overall I really like it and am glad my friend talked me into coming over 10 years ago.

Pros

Oppurtunity for Advancement, Not micromanaged, Indoors

Cons

Little bit of stress from inconsistencies with information from Corporate

Pretty good place

Laid back job, decent pay, ability to learn new things. You have some trouble accounts but that’s just the people who own the business you’re serving.

Not what I thought it was gonna be

This couple has nothing but favoritism we do the must work and get paid the least you bring up about getting paid more and they laugh in your face historically

Hard work, low pay

Locked into a terrible union contract. The pay is low and now competitive. You work either a 4/10hr or 5/8hr schedule but whatever schedule you work, you’ll will be dispatched for 10-12hrs a day regardless. You’re outside in the elements a lot.
