Productive and an exciting workplace
Post natal Department (Intern) (Former Employee) - Brakpan, Gauteng - 15 March 2019
Typical day would be productive in making sure all patients are taken care of and there are no complaints and each patient has recieved their medication and are clear on all queries, I have learned that people are more understanding when they have the right information about things that concern them, it is alwasy wise to be kind and give a smile and always remain calm in any situation when dealing with people. Management did a great job of teaching us the required experience needed to complete our inservice training and the work culture ther involved a lot of team work which was great because that taught me tolerance and panctuality. The hardest part about the job was dealing with diffucult clients who refused to understand that hospitals also have a set of rules that they adhere to, having to explain the procedure with the person not understanding the importance of why such standards are set made it difficult to deal with the patients. The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing different people on a daily and having to interact with them, I love being around an environment where I get to be around people cause I love working with people.
Pros
Many departments within the institution, They allow for rotation of positions, Exposure to various duties and responsibility, You are assigned a supervisor/mentor, You work flexible hours, You are able to attend school, Working environment is friendly, They provide inservice training
Cons
Hospital Environment, could esily get sick as there is no protective gear for administrators

MEDICAL OFFICER INTERN (Former Employee) - Tsakane, Gauteng - 10 April 2018

great place to gain experience but interns are overworked and when they are done with their internships they don't get certificates.
but so far I enjoy being part of their team, I've learned a lot from them.

Asset Controller (Current Employee) - Johannesburg, GP - 20 January 2015
I work with very united and supportive staff, it gets hard to choose or award one best employee of the month because they all energetic, with the management I learnt not rely on them too much because they turn to drop the bomb on you and expect you to come up with solutions of everything, WOW! the most enjoyable part is when its one of the staff's birthday or birth month, we gather on the last Friday of the month and share the day together as a department.
Cons
time keeper

Team building makes my staff as united as one big happy family
Asset Controller (Current Employee) - Johannesburg, Gauteng - 14 January 2014
friday is a very typical day for me because i have to check with every department if htey will be sorted for the weekend and on mondays are also typical because i have to report all the challenges and request for the past week and believe me you the management is always not happy when there is money to be spent.
I learnt that if you need to be a good leader you must let yourself to be led.
I enjoy working with the staff i have, they always think ahead, they priotirize their work.
The hardest part is when i have to come up with a solution like immediately, i.e. an Anaesthestic machine in theatre stucks at 22H00 night and the operation is on process, they call you to come and assess it, oh gosh.
I love it when i succesfully reach the target without any complains.
Pros
Some companies do bring lunch after the successful business relation
Cons
I do work long hours to get my job done effectively without any overtime payment gain.

a typical day would be me clocking in and checking if there are any suppliers coming in that day. verifying stock and checking e mails from clients. i learnt being a team player is important in a working enviroment and the management at pholosong is very caring and supportive. everyone at pholosong hospital is friendly and we work well as team and we support each other in what we do. the hardest part of this job is the counting of stock and the most enjoyable is that fridays we get to knock off early.
