Pick n pay is a wonderful company to work for but the only problem is , you don't get permanent employment. So u dont have any benifits . The company send u for the training in which ever way they can to make your job eazier . & management treat their their staff like family .
I was enjoying to work for the company as i was helping the company to reach it goals. And i had never wait for a suppervisors to be behond me while doing my job
No free lunch
As i worked for that company, i learned alot and it grew my morals. Pick n pay is a very well place to work at. The stuff the is very welcoming, and whenever u willing to learn you are free to do so.

I love working at pick n pay because this company provides a good career growth opportunities for individuals and it's culture can be easily adapted to.
Great growth opportunities
Compromises job security because of long casual employment
I would advise young school leavers to apply for a job at pick n pay inorder to understand how one should handle themselves in a working environment. On a daily basis I would clock inn at 18:00 for my shift which ends at 06:00 .The first thing to do is sign for a scanner & do a spot check on your MHE & make sure its in order then proceed in your daily picks
It's not an ideal job but it helps with your communication skills because you get to interact with customers
As a till packer you required to pack packages for customers and you get to communicate with them asking them if they need help with anything. Pick n pay has the best managers which they assist when you need help working for pick n pay was easy
I worked as a packer to a cashier where I was in the front line last row of the everyone's shopping experience as cashier responsible for every clients transaction.
Carefull dealing in cash and bank card transactions
Care full at all times and very listening to every customers needs
At Pick n Pay LMDC, there's no bonus for pickers. No benefits such as medical aid.During festive season there's no time to close for a certain period, hence is operational 24/7 365 days. Pickers work for different agents, not directly for pick and pay .No clarity on whether a Picker is permanent or not.
