I love to work at pick and pay because you gain experience of how to handle people and to have customer service. The is no pressure.although some customers will give u problems but you have to handle them camly and be polite.as we know a customers is always right.
When a customer claims the tomato sauce was dropped by a cashier Got a lot of experience in working fast packing in order how to get a lot of things organizedIt was nice even some of them where had on youDifferent people different cultures you learn to work with lot more experienced people who don't give up toGoing early to work but getting out lateYou get two breaks a day and one day off in a week
Hatred between workers, not allowed to take tips. We had a great Christmas party's, didn't get paid for overtime
It was great working on busy days Worked under pressure but was able to control it Was painful when working overtime and not getting paid correctly.
I can work in pressure without supervised . But supervisor put lot pressure on workers and you end up doing lot mistakes. I wish i can get more opportunity to work in another company except pick and pay. And the salary is bad while you put your all efforts at work.
Bonus if you did one year working there
You have to be hard working and willing to work under pressure. Normally there are nine working hours and you have to be willing to work long hours. You have to be costumer friendly, willing to help costumers were necessary.
tips from customers
I like working in pick n pay because we have lunch time and we work as a team no one is in charge to judge others we are one and same people as worke
The main reason is to help customers so that the business can achieve its goals and we as employees is to communicate with customers very nice and be attractive to them when talking about business so that they can feel that pick n pay is the best store amang them all.
This company has a great concept. It should train its employees and empower its employees. Promote in-store. Nature different talents, abilities, strengths of young minds.DO AWAY WITH THE SACAWU UNION.
subsidized lunch, free tea and bread
unstructured, personal ideas not considered, poor training.
Working at Pick n Pay was a great opportunity in a day you serve different customers some will make u happy and some will making u mad in that fashion thats how i learned to appreciate working with customers. The management treated us equal and made time to hear our queries, as for the co workers we ended up being one happy family. Nothing was hard at work, having to go work was a blessing
free lunches during straight shifts
