Work hard and run away from local stores, good company to work for overall. I can say through hard work and perseverance one can make it. To earn a better salary go with some kind of qualification otherwise it's a good starting job
Working at pick n pay gave me a lot of experience on how to handle customers everyday, remaining calm at all times and assisting them where possible. The workload required dedication and patience as sometimes we worked under pressure, we handled money daily and that requires discipline at all times.

As a cashier at pick n pay I was working under a whole lots of pressure you had to deal with different types of customers . The main thing we as cashiers had to focus on was customer service and always had a smile on your face. All pressure was on the cashiers especially the management team They always focused on us as frontline cashiers reason being we worked with customers n the money of the shop so all pressure in the whole of the store n focus was mostly on us
