I Badeeha De bruyn for this 8years i been working for pick n pay was just more than a help reason why i worked with so many people and customer it feels great to make the work goes out due to carering, friendly, kind most of all loving The hardest part of this job is pour time keeping but then i make it easy at the end of the day before my shift ends When i got a bad day i jst smile
Pick n pay is a good company for those who works as permanent employees but when you start there as a casual is a bit difficult
When going for interview you have to be presentable but not too formal and the test it's a general knowledge test, there are many opportunities there but you must keep on applying and be patient in order to get where you wanna be
This is and environment for you to work and not make friends. You get to work with young and old so sometimes you could feel left out. The company has great benefits which you will end up enjoying in the long run.
Get cooked meals at work
It a perfect working environment.Staff is well behaved customers are treated with good service. I learnt so much that now I see myself thankfull for having to be part of that desired group of workers
Nothing can tear apart a united people because the will always be more opinions when the is a problem because of good team work will bring good ideas to improve the business.
free lunch also uniform
During my service at Pick and Pay it a challenge, at the same time i learned to be friendly towards staff and customers. The environment was homely. I had known my customers needs and had to put them first acommodating their needs before mines. The hard part was the shifts which were sometimes late or too early. the most enjoyable part of the job was tasting food that i made myself and the activities such as mothers day, valentines, ect.
They should pay more attention to their workers. Train their management staff to work together with the staff. Listen to the workers ideas on how to attract new customers and keep the regular ones happy.
Free bread for tea time and low cost for lunch meal
A typical day at Pick n Pay can be very quiet at times and extemely bussy especialy end of the month's, not that this scares at all because I got so use to the rush that during quiet days I actually miss the running arround. That everone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity. I came to the understanding that everyone is there to improve their living circumestancess and that of their families. The challenges is only when there are no transport available especialy at night when we have to go home. Working and meeting a vastness of people, with diffrent cultures and backrounds.
Managemant was great and the people you work with is human. Its a company that looks after you and see you for what you are worth and believes in you. We worked hard but we played hard aswell. They are their if you have problems, they listen and they care.
Nice bonus and leave structure
