First time working at pick n pay clothing was in the mall it was always busy and we were a lot staff members. I stayed for a year then I moved to a center closer to my place that's when I really enjoyed working for pick n pay. I worked with strong dedicated managers and I learned a lot from them. I wil always be grateful to them for everything they did for me.

It can be fun working there but gets challenging when new stock arrives. Also you're expected to put work before your family&health according to some managers, talking bout experience. You hardly ever off weekends so you hardly spend time with your family. So I think the managers and those above them needs to consider their employees
Viewing new stock arrival and putting aside for yourself
Long hours and to work weekends
For me my staff members were one of kind because they always helped each other in difficult times for example when one of the cashier were sort we would all put money together to help
One weekend off
PNP has been decent on price's we fought everyday for better prices... To give our custumers what they want.... An quality was a huge step that follows before best price....
Lunches we actually time to relax an hand over to next manager on duty
Hours an taking over another managers lunch when its real busy....
A typical day at pick n pay clothing is challenging, as you have to deal with people from culture and morals. You have to maintain a mild temper even if a customer gets rude for no reason have to calm.
You have to be nice to rude customers
Working there really thought me how to communicate with different types of people and being able to accommodate their needs in terms of the stores items. Our team was great because we managed to make everyday a productive one, while building a good and healthy relationship at the same time. My hardest part would be when we had quite a very busy day where more than enough customers asked for assistance in different departments. Enjoyable moments would be when we sat down and talk about the situations we faced during work hours.
Free tea and lunch
Long standing hours throughout your shift
