Pnp is nice company for one to work for ,but that one can be determined by the type of management u find at the work place more especially family store, some gave no benefits
Free tea milk and sugar
Long hours and must expect to work overtime
The managers harass you and expect you to work like a slave. If you don't take your lunch break by 13:00 you forfeit it. Managers attitudes towards staff does not promote healthy working environment instead you constantly feel stressed. The owner was verbally abusive (swearing staff).
Working on your feet. Not allowed to sit. The salary does not justify the workload
Pick n pay got a very good working environment that anyone would enjoy working in, And the staff is very supportive towards one another it feels like home away from home. Good customer service, time keeping, quality, cleanliness you find it there a in their stores.
Its a great place to work at pick n pay comparing to other retail the treatment for its stuff its very good even the working environment its different from other retailers its does give opportunities to grow within the company as they mostly when they advertise posts for management they start within its stuff before looking from outside .

Every day was a perfect day for me.I learnt how to work with people and correspond with what the management wanted from me.My co-workers were so friendly and caring, I miss them a lot.The hardest part if the job was when I had to deal with too much work and the pressure of customers in the other side, but I did managed because I loved my job. The most enjoyable part of the job was when I was given the work that I definitely know that I'll do it quickly, and when I knew that my pay day was nearby, that is what motivated me.
I was working with caring people
The town was far from where I lived
I learned how to manage difficult customers by being polite all the time. Management is there for support meaning desperate times call for desperate measures sometimes I had to make decisions myself concerning giving customer the best experience. The hardest part of the job was having to stand up with my feet for the whole day and the most enjoyable was dealing with different customers even the complicated ones.
only one off day a week
