I would work for PF again with more improved responsibilities and renumeration yes, and maybe revised hours and not really much about freebies. I could do very well being assigned more managerial position since I believe in my capabilities and honestyans the drive in me.

Overall, Planet Fitness is by far one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever had the pleasure of working. The staff is excellent, management is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere of the work place is very welcoming and hardly stressful.
Pros
Easy hours, good staff
Cons
The occasional bad person coming in

Management was terrible and workers were taken advantage of. Management doesn’t not care about employees, only care for money. Were rude and unfair. I would not recommend. Was being asked to perform duties out of job description. Very little pay for what you have to deal with.
Pros
30 minute Breaks
Cons
Terrible management, little pay

I worked the night shift. It was slow at times. I like to stay busy. I had to get to a job that had a busier and more to do at the time. Good job if you are older but it was not for me.
Pros
Free working out
Cons
Very slow

Generally, it's a decent place to work. So long as there's a shift lead on your shift, everything is fine. If there isn't, forget it. With no shift lead, and a revolving door of co workers, a real routine became impossible to establish or maintain on the shift I worked. Even major changes in duties weren't addressed properly. Total lack of supervision became extremely problemaric. Approval of time off was impossible to get, overtime was not.
Pros
Free membership
Cons
Short breaks, only certain shifts were allowed time off

Loved being in the community in the facility, poor upper management. No teaching or guidance, poor pay for employees that they expect to want to have careers, high expectations for low pay.
Pros

poor guidance from upper management

Best job I’ve ever had. Only con was the Club Manager at the time of my employment was extremely inappropriate and picked favorites. Manager refused to help Assistant Manager help team members grow. Was consistent in saying no to any positive ideas. Just flat out let the team lose great employees out of selfish reasons. Luckily that Club Manager is no longer employed there so definitely check it out! Great company to work for.
Pros
Training, growth, success.
Cons
Club Management

Nothing to rave about. It was just a job. You deal with a lot of different people. One position but have different titles. The pay was not enough to stay.

We encounter several conflicts daily with people that don't want to follow the mask policy. Other than that it's a simple job with low pay. The free gym membership is nice.

Coworkers are very fun and upbeat. The job itself is easy and very flexible. It involves lots of cleaning and being able to juggle multiple tasks. Members are majority of the time very fun and happy to be there.
Pros
Fun activities
Cons
High turn over and pay

Should not work here for an extensive period. You will find yourself stressed and watching calendar days go by. They don’t a lot of time for people to take necessary vacations nor do they allow overtime to stack your money.

Don’t waste your time. This company is a complete joke. I’ve worked here for 4 years and you deal with so much unnecessary stuff. The management is terrible. The pay is terrible. There’s really no working your way up the company. Everyone hates their lives there. It’s a very depressing work environment. Gets worse everyday.
Pros
Free gym membership
Cons
Bad management, bad pay, bad hours

The average shift consists of standing at the front desk waiting for members to come up and rotating cleaning duties with other team members. Not much satisfaction derived from the job but is a great gig for college students.
Pros
Free membership

Would not recommend. High number of hours expected per week, always on call, high pressure to meet sales goals, poor culture and work-life balance, upper management had low accountability

Management is really good. Will work with you on your schedule. Most members are very polite and really get to know the workers. The fact that they are open 24 hours a day and open 7 days a week is very accommodating to members.

They rave about a work/life balance but it doesn’t exist. They claim to be PFamily and that should be your first red flag...companies that claim this are just fronting for being toxic and abusive to employees (or “teammates” as they call them). They promote friends instead of who is right for positions and kick higher tenured people to the curve. They don’t care about you personally like they claim to, they fake it so you’ll do more than you’re paid to. It’s a very easy job, but just not worth it for your mental well-being. The pay is okay, not great by any means. They will promise you the world and then pull the rug out from under you with no explanation. Maybe other franchisees are better, but the largest one, United PF Partners, is hypocritical and toxic.
Pros
1 hour workout on Fridays
Cons
Literally everything

Planet Fitness overall has been a very dependable company for me to work for. Even though the pay might not be top notch, you still get paid your roles worth.

The best part of the job is the people yiu work for. However, in a management position the work kife balance is very difficult working for a 24/7 company where you club is always open. You can gain a lot of experience and good life lessons in the job but because of the compensation for the amount of work involved runni g a 24/7 club most good people leave acter a year or 2.
Pros
Coworkers
Cons
Compensation, work life balance

There are no benefits offered besides PTO and starting wage is lower than most jobs. However it is a relaxed environment for the most part and the members are almost always friendly. Management is good and helps pick up extra slack. There’s opportunity for advancement and the company typically promotes from within which is great if you want to move up.
Pros
Free membership, nice environment, fun
Cons
low starting wage, no healthcare benefits
