Lack of permanent positions

Good working hours, transport provided. Getting permanent is the biggest struggle, only people with known family get permanent. Casualing up to 5years

Pros

Good working hours and fair salary

Cons

Becoming permanent takes years up to 5 years

insightful and productive

Typical day is normally , clock in have a meeting with rest of team and supervisor. We look at previous targets if met, days target problem solving, all relevant aspects regarding basic procedures . When I get my total for day start with my tasks. Best part is learning new things everyday from staff that work for company many years and just working with the peoplethat understands you and always help where they can. Hardest part would be when components fail and deadline almost there so we as team need to perform miracles .

Fun workplace and healthy working environment

Very happy that I got to work at that type of an environment. It was just unfortunate it was a contract would've loved to work as a permanent there I still hope one day I'll be given a chance to comeback

Pros

Free coffee

It was an interesting place to work at.

Safety meetings and then deployed to work in different departments. It was a dangerous environment with some friendly faces, however a gross miscommunication between management and employees

Fixed term worker at Rheinmetall Denel Munition

Rheinmetall Denel Munition is a great company. The only problem is whenever there's a decrease in production, our fixed term workers are the ones whom suffer. Our contract stipulate that when there's no work, we must stay at home. No complains about the salary because they provide a basic salary which is more than what retail work offers. The company also provides the necessary training in order for us to work in a safe environment.

I am positively driven and focused

The hardest part of work is to concentrate on the job because you work with explosive material at all times.A tipycal day at work is to go to work in the mornings sober and focused. Work place culture is to be work driven and positive at all times. The most enjoyable times was to be among other people to talk and mingle togather as a team with one vision and one mind working to give the client a product that is 100%

Pros

free lunches

Cons

12 hours

hectic working hours

work 12 hour shifts monday to friday/saturday. my function is to maintain the centrifuges, ensure they dont get blocked, clean them and i relieve the team leader during breaks.i have learned team work and how to deal with people from different backgoundsThe management tends to keep employees in the dark making one's attempt to keep a baance between work and your personal life a nightmare. The hardest part of the work has to be the working hours, s they dont allow for much of a life outside work

Pros

subsidised meals

Cons

long hours
