insightful and productive
Operator (Current Employee) - Somerset West, Western Cape - 20 April 2020
Typical day is normally , clock in have a meeting with rest of team and supervisor. We look at previous targets if met, days target problem solving, all relevant aspects regarding basic procedures . When I get my total for day start with my tasks. Best part is learning new things everyday from staff that work for company many years and just working with the peoplethat understands you and always help where they can.
Hardest part would be when components fail and deadline almost there so we as team need to perform miracles .

Centrifuge Operator (Former Employee) - Somerset West, Western Cape - 4 October 2019
Safety meetings and then deployed to work in different departments. It was a dangerous environment with some friendly faces, however a gross miscommunication between management and employees

Fixed term worker at Rheinmetall Denel Munition
Operator (Former Employee) - Somerset West, Western Cape - 19 September 2019
Rheinmetall Denel Munition is a great company. The only problem is whenever there's a decrease in production, our fixed term workers are the ones whom suffer. Our contract stipulate that when there's no work, we must stay at home. No complains about the salary because they provide a basic salary which is more than what retail work offers. The company also provides the necessary training in order for us to work in a safe environment.

I am positively driven and focused
operator (Former Employee) - PP2 - 30 April 2019
The hardest part of work is to concentrate on the job because you work with explosive material at all times.A tipycal day at work is to go to work in the mornings sober and focused.
Work place culture is to be work driven and positive at all times.
The most enjoyable times was to be among other people to talk and mingle togather as a team with one vision and one mind working to give the client a product that is 100%
Pros
free lunches
Cons
12 hours

hectic working hours
operator (Current Employee) - wellington,western cape - 5 November 2012
work 12 hour shifts monday to friday/saturday. my function is to maintain the centrifuges, ensure they dont get blocked, clean them and i relieve the team leader during breaks. i have learned team work and how to deal with people from different backgounds The management tends to keep employees in the dark making one's attempt to keep a baance between work and your personal life a nightmare. The hardest part of the work has to be the working hours, s they dont allow for much of a life outside work
Pros
subsidised meals
Cons
long hours
