I have been with the company for 15 years, and to be honest i have had a great experience thus far. Any one working at the RAF has had a very great experience. Its the number one company to work for. Thats my opinion. When you do what you have to do and whats expected from you then things will be awesome.

Productive and fun workplace

Great place to learn about job culture, personal mastery, ethics in the workplace and self development. There's always internships, providing ground for students fresh out of school

Pros

Roadshows

Cons

Micromanagement from some supervisors

Balance work life and personal life

At time of my arrival at the organisation, there was a lot of project that were embarked upon to get maximum performance of the organisation but that was balance with other sport activities, which made working there less stressful. During evening we will engage in sport activities and some weekend we will have Competitive official games with others branches and stakeholders. This elevated work pressures n improved productivity and high performance.

Pros

Free coffee and tea

Cons

A lot of overtime work which also improved performance of the organisation

Great

Good company to work for, very competitive but interesting and informative I have learned a lot from my colleagues. We were rotated every three months to learn more about other departments. I started at originations where I was based at Verification and Validation of Claims. Then after three months we were moved to direct claims. The managers and colleagues were very helpful

Field case management

A typical day is very busy and hectic. I have learnt a lot especially dealing with personalities. The hardest part of the job is juggling the acts/ law and medical needs and all the red tape. The most I enjoy is touching people's lives and making a difference in society

Pros

Job satisfaction

Cons

Not having control over the next persons role

Very stressful environment

very stressful and busy I have learned to be tolerant and patient Management sometimes did not care about your wellbeing but always concerned with performance all the times Culture is that of everyone for themselves (colleagues are concerned about their performances rather than working as team) When i had to discipline the staff I was supervising Overtime was paid

A learning duration about myself.

Took me four years with the RAF to realise that I wanted something totally different from what they were offering me. I felt stuck in a rut of non improvement as I have great expectations from myself. I learnt a lot from the fund from handling overwhelmingly exhaustive workload requiring results in a short space of time to creating a network of helpful professional within and outside.

It a target based work environment. Drawing stats and meeting the setted targets is crucial.

It a good environment if you are old and content with the level you currently on but It not for people who still needs to grow career wise. There is absolutely no growth
