Enjoyed working for the Corporate giant.
Key Account Manager / CE Business Leader (Former Employee) - Johannesburg, South Africa and Lusaka, Zambia. - 8 August 2015
We normally work for Monday to Friday, but due to weekly closure of the Supply Chain System, Saturday and Sunday would be spent in the Office itself. Samsung is one place where you would give equal emphasis on the Customer as well as the internal system. Management plans could change without much internal discussions.
Always used to have all kinds of trainings and seminars at least on a monthly basis.

Good work place and productive
trainee technician (Former Employee) - Cape Town, WC - 18 May 2015
As soon i was there, first thing wait for someone to give me the phone i should repair since i was there as a trainee. I learned how to work on Samsung cellphone and what procedure to follow as soon as i was given a phone. Management was pretty good, the co-workers helping a lot, the hardest part was when the chief technician was not there because there was some devices that the guys didn't want to work on it which i found interesting to me(tablets) . The most enjoying part of the job is for me it was to easy since i was working in a company which has a product comparable as a cellphone.
Pros
Each of us had to buy or bring his own lunch
Cons
I was working only on weekends.

Productive
teller sales relationship manager (Current Employee) - Pretoria Gauteng - 5 December 2012
my typical day at work is i get to work check my emails from the service center then right after i call customers and give them quotations for all the items they wanted to be ordered to find out if i should go ahead and order their requirements get back to the service center giving them the go ahead updates from customers. I have learned a lot from the store and dealing with unhappy customers to the sweetest customer, i also learned to work under pressure and always try my best to make a customer happy. The manager is a great person always makes his stuff laugh but when it comes to business he is very strict wants everything to be done the right way to insure a good name for the business as well as oneself. My co-workers are amazing people, i got along great with them from day one. The hardest part of my job is learning how to be on top of everything because customer must always be happy. The love and family band we all have in the store.
Pros
our manager always spoils us with free lunch month ends

Great Relationships, Variety of Experience, Strong Brand Equity
Hub Manager (Current Employee) - Port Elizabeth - 14 November 2012
I have gained much experience through Samsung, I have learned how to communicate and engage with the end user, by using Marketing Guidelines and Principles at the shop front to aid in Awareness and Sales. I Have also learned how to manage and monitor new and old product lines and identify issues that would prevent Sell through of our products. Working as part of a team I have gained experience in the Management of people, retail assets and have learnt how escalate and resolve HR issues. With a keen sense and drive for Sales I have the ability to build good realtionships with customers and through trust and commitment utilize this to aid in Sell through of our Products. The biggest challange of my job is the great variety of products which we have to sell, and having to travel out of town every week. As well as extremely long hours. The most enjoyable part of my job is the people that I work with and my customers who I have built really good relationships with and the very good quality of our products and the Strength of the Brand.
Pros
good salary, good benifits
Cons
travel out of town too frequently, no time to balance personal life and work, work 6 days a week!

High remuneration, poor communication
Sales and Marketing (Former Employee) - Johannesburg - 9 July 2012
Typical day at work would be met with many challenges all due to communication issues. There is a lot of work to be done to improve communication between the Korean ex-pats and the locals. I learnt that things change on a daily basis :-). In the last couple of years HR started training the staff which is much appreciated. Co-workers are fantastic, hard working, enjoyable people to be around. Hardest part of the job is the rule changing and long hours. Most enjoyable part is the variety of the job
Pros
good pay with bonuses if you reach targets
Cons
poor communication
