Fun place to work at if you like interacting with people
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt's a good place to work at if you like interacting with people, building and helping young individuals learn more about what's expected of them when they leave the tertiary environment to the workplace has always been an amazing part of my job because I used to teach Marketing Management so it focuses more on day to day interaction with people. Fellow colleagues were great to work with they are young and vibrant and we were like a family
Pros
Flexible and have time to relax during free periods
Cons
Working Saturdays

Working at Sandton Technical College has help me to understand different types of people and it has also taught me to manage alot of people, such experiences made me see that I can be able to be a whole manager and control people from 10-25 per day. Being an assistant has taught me to plan, organize and to manage time. It helped me to do follow up on alot of things
Pros
Transportation fee and Lunches
Cons

Disastrous place, no professionalism, late salary payments pf no salaries
Lecturer (Marketing management ) (Former Employee) - Polokwane, Limpopo - 17 May 2021
The most unprofessional workplace ever ,they just hire by looks and what you tell them you can do,no references wanted, no background checks or criminal record checks,we got paid late two weeks after pay dates then sometimes we got half of our salary month end then half in the middle of the month, students were striking time an again for being promised things that were never delivered for example Tablets ,t shirt e.t.c
Pros
Anytime is lunch time
Cons
Not being paid on time, lectures would just resign then you find ome person with a workload of 4 people

Working with the students was great and I had good relations with my colleagues the issue was with the employees, they never paid us on time and were not fair on bringing reading material for the students.

Productive
Direct Marketing (Current Employee) - Pretoria, Gauteng - 30 January 2019
A productive work environment, you really work hard for your money. A paid commission at the end of the day could keep one going. One stands outside all day unless they have a client which could easily be the hardest part about the job
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
A low salary

Unless you're desperate, dont do it
Admin (Former Employee) - Johannesburg, Gauteng - 1 March 2018
Lack of communication from head office management with management of branch level.
You will have to fight for your salary. Forget being paid on time unless you're lucky. You get paid for the previous month at the beginning of the following month eg. You receive your December salary in beginning January. Department of Labour and the CCMA is your friend.
Unprofessional, inexperienced and unqualified personnel hired to lecture to students so that they may save on costs.
When things go wrong at a branch level they will shift the blame to the branch principal or manager.
Lecturers will not get basic resources in order to perform their jobs effectively.
Pros
Pro liars
Cons
Overworked and under paid

They won't pay you!
lecturer (full time) (Former Employee) - Johannesburg, Gauteng - 29 November 2017
The work load its to much but manageable if you can work under pressure
Paying you will become a problem, they don't pay on time, if u receive something on the 6th it will be quarter of your salary
Towards the end of semester they will disappear without a trace. Couldn't believe when some staff members and other people told me until I experienced it myself
Pros
good working hours
Cons
they won't pay you

HOD,faculty of science (Former Employee) - Johannesburg South, GP - 19 December 2013
I would start the day by checking and ensuring that academic process are in place and functioning efficiently, this was achieved by checking lesson plan, lesson observation and enforcing regulation concerning students conduct and discipline.
Management and the entire work force was easy to work with.
