Safety is the number one requirement. Experience is everything take, time to learn and understand why things are done the way they are done. Get everything done on time and do it safely

The best company to work for. I wish i could go back. Safety is the 1sr priority. They want you to go home to your family the sameway you leave your premises to work at your plant or work shop
Pros
Safety is priotity
Cons

Good working conditions and safe to work Safety is taken very seriously at sasol The workload is very very minimal and procedures are strict and adhered to
Pay is good but management structures are inflexible and thus, career progression is difficult. Communication within the company could also be better. Overall, it feels like an old-fashioned organisation that needs some vibrancy and life added back in.
Sasol demands a creative individual. You need to be a quick thinker not a quick reactor and remember SAFETY is a number one priority at Sasol, "If you cannot do it SAFE don't do it" that's the mojo. You will meet new people coming from different backgrounds so always be kind to your colleagues because you might never know what they're going through. It's a tremendous and adventurous experience working for Sasol. GOOD LUCK.

The last customer must be treated as the first customer and make sure that your customers leave the premises with a smile. You also have to do all the promotional stuff you are on that month. Time management is very important, customers mustn't wait a long time in a queue. Don't work hard but smart and be an asset to your company

The technical competency of management to make sound decisions based on industry experience or for that matter making a decision and provide guidance is problematic.
Pros
Good package and benifits but these have been marginalized over the years
Cons
Company Strategies and policies need to be reevaluated to ensure strong sustainable future
Sasol is a great company to work for. There's always lots to learn and share. The company is innovative, dynamic and caring. I enjoy working with people from sasol as they are willing to impart their knowledge, participate as a team and create a warm culture in the organisation.
The Employees are open and also work as a team. They always follow the procedure in every task because SASOL employees are committed to zero. Time management is important and alcohol/drugs is not allowed in at work/on site
