Serco is one of the world’s largest providers of public services to governments, employing over 50,000 people in over 20 countries. The services we provide are often of critical importance to the communities and nations we serve.

Serco operates in six sectors of public service provision: Health, Transport, Justice, Immigration, Defense, and Citizens Services. Sometimes we are supporting people at troubled times in their lives, be they unemployed, refugees fleeing persecution, or in prison. In other parts of our business, we are running some of the most advanced train services in the world, delivering essential support to armed forces, keeping hospitals safe and operational around-the-clock, and providing environmental services.

Great working experience

This was my first job in my field after graduating and it allowed me to challenge myself in what I had studied. I had a great mentor and we were able to make some valuable contributions to the company.

very outdated in its approaches to problems and people

Toxic culture is handled with humour and your trajectory is determined by who you're friends with. The benefits were ok but more suited for someone just starting a career rather than a grown person wanting to further a career.

Productive and always had a lot of fun!

Serco was by far the best company I worked at. From the bosses to management to my colleagues, we were one big happy family. When I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, Serco went over and above the level of professionalism to support and accommodate me.
