St convenience is a big company with big clientele base...but one thing it's a place to be for experience not for a Livingston.we do what they said.. ..
Pros
Never
Cons
Not really because they dont want to pay overtime.
At the job I work..hours and rate is unfare no benefits that I would make a living after 5 years or so..i live in a informal settlement and try to come out in search of a secured future
Zero management or leadership skills. Staff, especially sales reps are overworked, paying for your own Petrol is costly, no empathy if you or your child is sick, you have to be dead to call in sick. Taking leave is on there terms, all customers returns be it damaged or expired will come off your salary. If you are not on a buddy term with the fields manager then you are a target.
SG Convenience is an amazing company to work for. I however will recommend that they look into motivating their staff more. Team buildings, actively engage with staff to boost Morale and also get suggestions on how to improve working environment. Apart from
our provident and pension fund there is no other fringe benefits. I would definitely suggest that the business subsidize medical aid - Offer incentives such as employee of the month and also employee of the year. If certain targets are met incentives are given to staff.
Pros
We can by certain goods at extremely reduced prices
Cons
There is no possibility of earning a little extra as overtime is not offered
The worst place to work in Cpt if you are not of the lighter complexion. no fuel or car allowance management is rude unfriendly you are a Sales Rep how do you budget for fuel out of your own salary. There are Convenience and Liquor Reps the latter are treated like the they don't belong there.I you like been treated like a school kid then. They are a level 3 BBEE contributer but the whole management team in Cape Town and Nationally is Of the lighter complexion Best part is the Fellow Employees which make working under draconian management easier. My advice if 12 people resigned in 4 months you decide
Pros
Staff Account
Cons
Not a good sales management team in Cape Town
It was a good place to work exept the unpaid hours and discrimination that what make me leave couse iwas earning smaal money that i cant manage to support my family
Pros

SG was different from others because i did a lot driving outside gauteng in most cases and was away from home for days whereas in other jobs i did most local driving on daily basis. However i travelled extensively during my time there and i met a lot of people and went to different places very far from home so , it was also worth it as i managed to set foot in places i would never before or had imagined
Pros
free lunch
Cons
long hours
setting golas as a team and able to archieve them monthly,
the staff is very friendly and helpful.
employees are not treated the same by managers, it depends who you are.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
long hours
