This is a great company to work for. I have received great training and opportunities from them while working there and will return tomorrow if I had the opportunity. Local systems and owners my slightly skew this experience, depending on your property/location.
International company, great perks, incentives, medical aid, provident fund and staff meals
Stressfull but satisfying
The working environment at Sheraton hotel is not conjusive. The employees there are less dissatisfied and forever complaining regarding the workload, absurd working hours and less renumeration
Good for reference purposes since it is a 5 star hotel
Not so great to work at
Highly enjoyed working at this establishment as it was my 1st introduction to the hospitality industry. I was responsible for the restaurant, room service and bar departments throughout my year of working at Sheraton.
you get to meet different types of people on a daily basis.

I'm thankful that Sheraton Pretoria let me volunteer, but again I'm highly disappointing how the managers treat us there, they are too arrogant and are not appreciative. I'd never even recommend anyone to work at Sheraton Pretoria Hotel.

Short time for lunch.
the work load varies everyday. The management is also friendly and the culture is good. Working at Stores was a great department to work for. Working at the company was a very beneficial to me as I started working as a general worker and thereafter a minibar attendance and thereafter started working at the Stores department as a Storeman
no free lunches, you get meal vouchers that is deducted from the salary
if the workload is hectic you get to do long hours
I started as a general worker and managed to work my way up to a machine operator and eventually I was offered a position on our newly formed quality team. The management at the company are very friendly and growth within the company is possible if you are willing to put yourself out there and prove to the company that you are willing to work and learn as much as you can.
At Sheraton textile you work long hours for little money..you put a lot in the company and management Dont see you but other than that I have to work there becouse I'm desperate for the money and I have to work overtime to earn enough to get through the week
Long hours little money
