When you applied there you must make sure no other activities you want to do because they demand all your time shoprite will make you extra hours knowing excatly that they not going to pay you its more like you are donating wuth your energy

Lot of work and stressful

money market clerk(Former Employee) - Maboneng,Johannesburg - 6 November 2021

Poor management,they don't respect employees, they shout staff in front of customer's and in front of everyone. Threatening staff by terminating their contract. Refusing to provide staff transport at night. I enjoyed engaging myself with people, giving customers a great service,making friends with customers.

Enjoyed working but then month end its stressing and tiring and we work under pressure -i have learned that pressure makes diamond -i can say shoprite is for everyone -its not hard except for working long hours -its always fun, you get to communicate-in different languages and meet all kinds of races

It is a very fast paced work-culture especially on month ends and having to deal with difficult different customers,the management plays their role
