Management
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) - Diep River, Western Cape - 4 October 2021
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedPoor management skills. Manager walking barefeet all the time but keep telling you to dress appropriately in case the client comes on site. I had a personal issue that I needed to deal with and upon returning work everyone knew my business and my manager was the only one who knew

Sigma management works out their employees they have no people skills all their job titles goes to their heads then they think they better than you.

Sigma tenture advisors has no clue what's happening in the shell campaign even the floor walkers know absolutely nothing so when new people start they give incorrect information to the new people and when their calls are being listened to the new people gets into big trouble because of the incorrect information given.
Pros
Nice treats now and then
Cons
Always a pay query

Dull, sad, no growth working environment
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Randburg, Gauteng - 31 March 2022
I would never recommend anyone to work for this company. The management doesn't stick to their promises, You work for long hours with a little pay, There's no room for growth especially if you are black. The salary is so little that you will only use it for transport to go to work. The only way to survive at SIGMA is if you don't know your self worth. You are not even allowed to take leave no matter how serious your reasons are, they just don't care.

Detrimental environment
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Diep River, Western Cape - 18 March 2022
The management is absolutely appalling, sickening and disgusting. There is no culture. The environment is too stressful as there isn't floor support. There isn't much to look forward to because of the environment.

Productive and stressful environment.
Customer Service Advisor (Current Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 26 February 2022
The company as a whole is quite pleasant as they take care of their employees. Management can be quite stressful and demanding to meet target each day. Each day feels robotic as there is a certain way you should act to meet the criteria. Overall, the company is good and gives you the right support structure.

Poor working conditions
Customer service advisor (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 16 March 2021
Worked well with my colleagues, got the opportunity to build great rapport even outside of work premises. The recruitment process was poor, they would accept you and still tell you in training that they haven't made contact with my reference. They give you the job and make you worry about security. High expectations but systems always down. Clustered systems and most of the tasks or not resolved on time because we do not have access to do most functionalities. Poor customer service department that made us as advisor's incompetent. What discouraged me mostly was the management, they don't have backing for us as employees. In each and every briefing before we start shift, they always encourage dismissal then rather developing alternatives as a team. When you fail a call you sign counseling form that is kept in your file in HR's office but when you do something good less credit is given. I was a good employee for them never got into any trouble but I felt it many people left because of unfair treatment.
Pros
Good hours and good transport service
Cons
No wifi, slow connection, less breaks and no job security.

Productive and Fun
Customer service advisor (Current Employee) - Western Cape - 22 March 2020
A typical day at work is quite enjoyable yet can be stressful. I have learned partial upselling as this was my first utilities campaign, I found it a bit challenging, Yet once you find the routine of the following rolling it becomes enjoyable. Motivation in the work place I have is results focused as all business are yet made the workplace and interaction between work colleagues easier and enjoyable. The hardest part of the job role would be the calls per day, Which can be stressful as the enjoyable part of the work place would be the result focused drive to accomplish and better not only yourself as a agent but targets for the week/month.
Pros
Incentives

Overtime
Customer service advisor (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 10 March 2020
There is always overtime available to the employees, so you can earn extra income on your salary which is great. The flexibility of the shifts are great

Sigma is the worst out the lot.
Customer Service Consultant (Current Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 31 January 2020
As an employee from Sigma I strongly feel that there is a lot of nepotism, favoritism and fraudulent behavior happening at Sigma SA to be exact. The more you speak to the correct channels the more they ignore your requests. They never understand staff members as long as they are paid well off from money that ad visors work there butts off. I will never recommend anyone to work at this pathetic company that will just waste your time. They over work their employees to an extent where they eventually burn out.
