Not productive

Saps doesn't consider some people's educational qualifications .Nepotism Iam not happy ,sometimes you get managed by someone who doesn't know the work you doing.Spas it's a mess

Difficult to work there because of corruption and connections

To work at South Africa police Service firstly was a joy to until I experienced the corruption based how to get a permanent post also I had experienced that its not easy work there

The company was productive

I have gained more experience by working at Saps. My purpose was to gain experimental learning. My mentors taught me very well and after I have completed my internship I knew what was required of me

We use to bring our own lunch and buy our own sugar and teabags

South African Police services

Over worked and under paid. The work is not a problem however there is a lot required of you and the pay is not much and hard to survive. I find it difficult to meet my bills and make ends meat

its a great place to be if you like working under pressure and doing Little of problem solving handling high profile fragile cases and one get to travel around the country.

remove corruption and promote the hard working people, lack of promotional growth and the lack of support makes a difficult working enivornment. they can be saved

I currently hold a trade certificate in electrical and i also have over 25 year's of experience in plumbing, welding and as a paint Technician

Anything is expected when I arrive at work. I learnt to be calm and plan all maintenance jobs for the day. Part of the Management team is not knowledgeable when it comes to maintenance and it can become a bumpy ride. There is not much challenges when it comes to dealing with various cultural issues. The hardest part of my job is trying to maintain 13 stations with no assistance,transportation and with the lack of tools.lack

Toxic work environment with poor management

I believe that the saps should take their employees best interest seriously, poor management is killing the saps,corruption is setting them back ,working conditions are awful the working environment is toxic. The salaries are a joke. Employees are undervalued.

No progress

There is no room for progess in the service you stay in one rank for too long . If there are promotions they do not check from inside who has which qualification and promote from inside intead they hire from outside which is demotivating members from further studying.

South African Poliice service is a Law enforcement industry which enforce the law while respecting citizens rights and constitution. We arrest and bring suspects before court.

Productive environment

Working hours were from 7:30 to 16:00, working within the office as well as doing home visits and visiting other stations. I learned working with different stakeholders, teams as well as working independently. The culture of the workplace included respect, professionalism as well as confidentiality. What I enjoyed more about the job was planning and organising events, doing presentations on a particular topic as well as working with various individuals.

I enjoyed my tenure at the SAPS

I have excellent interpersonal skills and I enjoyed my tenure with in the South African Police Service. I gained immense administrative experience in the Human Resources Department.

Work there is good.

Management is good and support structure good but resources need to be improved e.g provide investigators with state owned cellphones and free airtym and subsidies vehicles for all investigators.

Tough environment

It's an exciting and challenging environment, can be demanding at times, situations differ, the thought of being killed on duty is a dreadful feeling, we always think that we are coming home after work.

harsh conditions but made that a joy

The environment was harsh and dangerous but as members,we made the most of ir.Could not allow the negative slander to affect my output.Had to remain positive fro te sake of myself and my colleages.

Stressful yet fulfilling.

The job could be very stressful and dangerous at times. However, the fact that it puts one in a position to serve and protect others, that makes it very fulfilling.

Could be better

Daily facing criminals. Learned that life is precious. Dealing with ruthless criminals but the best part was that the members stand for each other. Policemen are committed to fighting crime daily

i manage to train basic computer lessons so the the rural learners must copy well when they go to university or college

it is a challenging environment because it was my first time work and dealing with teenage. i have to make sure i understand every learner and be strong
