I’ve learnt a lot from them. As my first job they did a great job. My senior manager really contributed a lot in my career and having to meet him again at Absa it was a blessing because of the things he taught me along my walks of life

I suggest that Post office to be privatized so that the culture can change and the company will start make profit and win the trust of the community back.
If you are working for the big company you have to be dedicated to your job be on time always and prepare to go extra miles for your job, be ready to learn new skills each day

South African Post Office is a great company to work for.
Respect among workers, clients and management makes it a place enjoyable to find one's self in.
Salary and benefits are good.
There is a big room for growth because of the on going training provided by the company.
Pros

Long discussions before agreement is reached on annual salary increases.
It is important to deal with the given task immediately is given to you rather than to wait because at the end of the day you end up not knowing where to start and where to end. To make my job first priority in life, always when I dont understand I ask cause maistakes cause company to lose money as we know office resources are expensive , working as a team helps a lot.

It was the great honour working for the company South African Post Office i have learned a lot. My experience has bring a great success in my career and i am excited because i was always selected to do many task in the group. I have been a great team player and intelligent. Is good to have your bosses who can inspire you with the work life. That is why i had to study further and to build my career so well. I have enjoyed working for the company and it taught me a lot of things in our IT working environment. My heart is always filled with joy. My Job was always hard during the first month after i was employed in July 2012. There are always challenges at work especially when your are working on problem solving skills don't ever expect things to be the same because errors differs. I never learned the hard way it was always easy and i was doing well.
Pros

They can use some new challenges into the workplace. Make more meetings with management and stuff to lay down all the concerns and complains from customers and find ways to fix them.
Pros
there Are glasses in between clients and consultants
Cons
Working seated, It gets really tiring, could use some moving around.
My typical day at work it was in 2014 whereby I have to help more than 387 customers alone in the office. On the pensioners day payments. I have to manage the queue and the cash in the same time. I was counting the cash using my hands because there was not cash counting machine. I closed the office so late at 18:00 evening.
When it comes in management is was so difficult because my office was a single handed office meaning I was working alone as a Teller, as a Cashier and a Branch manager as well. I have learned how to manage cash and to control the queue. I have learned to manage time and my work.
Customers enjoyed my services very much and they were even asking that how do I hope with such a lots of work like that because I have to serve them and respond to my email, opening the incoming mail, dispatching the mail, do a banking, opening the accounts, doing some enquiries for dormant accounts and closed accounts and also making a follow up for track and trace parcels alone.
Pros
sometimes a one hour lunch
Cons
long queues and long hours
Learn as much as you can
always be ready to learn new systems
Always be willing to be located in different branches
be ready to even manage a branch.
Pros
