morning meeting and EMT training was the most enjoyable moments because we had strategies our day and learn new products ,not knowing the product you selling was the hardest . Good management communication . Healthy workplace culture.
It's a place to work and have fun the company itself always take you out on fun activities to learn more and more about different sections in that store which includes all costs on them
Must be nearly attired, Must be punctual
The company has principles that they follow ,they have specific goals for thier company and whenever there are vacancies in managerial positions they first consider they own staff members before looking outside for someone equipped for the job.
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!
Do these reviews help you learn more about working at Sportsman's Warehouse?
It was great company to work for i learnt a lot with them in-terms of sport related gears and my favourite side of the store was the outdoor department. overall the company was a fun working place with challenges faced and tackled using team work in most cases.
free lunch on stock takes
It is a good company one could work for as it pays a reasonable salary and they also have incentives, medical aid and uif. The company you will get to meet new people sometimes well known sports personnel would come in the store and buy from you. Different customers on daily bases and you get to learn new things everyday.
a typical day at work on weekdays, one is always busy and always has something to do in terms of merchandising, etc and on weekends are very focused mostly on customers service as it is very busy especially in festive. I have a lot mostly about different product in different departments and how they work or used for. The hardest part of the job is not making the customers and management happy or when you make a mistake by giving the customer wrong information.
Free lunch at training and the experiential learning
long hours and hard labour
We go in the morning to have a meeting and then we get to work. The company works on an Incentive basis for the sales Assistants, We have to do merchandising. This is not the Sportmans Warehouse displayed, this one that i worked at is the one is South Africa.
the workplace culture among the temps was cool but the management messed with the work place environment which led to me leaving and also there was no real place for growth. Lastly the seniors make you do all the work and there's not a thing you can do about it.
Not much other than the vibe created by others
lack of interest on the part of management
This was my first time getting a job, and I started straight after finished writing my final matric exams. It was a good experience, it was difficult at first because you were set with a sales target to reach every day but it taught you to work hard.
Management can be unfair
I had help customers directly and telephonically I had to do stock control I had to merchandise I had to answer phone calls The workplace culture good because everyone is motivated Working with people who dedicated and passionate about the job Good management with respect to employees
This working space that I've experiences is not as the work pretend it to be, this work need more mature and trustworthy staff. I mean trustworthy to the fact that I've not received payment since 2016. Ay After contacting the store at numerous occasions, there was always an excuse.
