My team leader never gave me a chance to spread my wings, my favouritism was at the core and the chain was way too long. I felt suffocated and clamped, to get a bonus you had to favoured. I worked for this company at a time of LMI 's where would go without pay for months but efforts were not recognized. I loved this company but after my experience I don't know
Pros
I don't remember getting anything for free
Cons
Rotten management

Working at Standard bank was fun and challenging. There are many positions that you can transfer to if available but you do not need to stick to 1 position.
Standard bank is a good company to work for because it is an environment where one can grow and be upskilled as there are also sessions allocated for multiskilling.
There are also learning assessments in place for employees to get better opportunities.
Work environment helps you to keep an open mind as you deal with different personalities and scenarios every day.
It helps one understand economic matters and finances in a different light

Standard Bank is a nice place to work at. Sometimes the Managers gives unreachable targets daily for small branches. They need to take a look at that.

There is a great culture at Standard Bank especially in the team I work with.
We learn every day, weather its a new skill or something new about the business. Standard Bank provides learning opportunities through a learning and development intranet site. Allowing us to increase skills and knowledge all the time.
Management can be very supportive at times, but also very dictatative.
The hardest part of my job would be not having the proper support structure in place to enable us to go beyond the boundaries of the job description.
I love that I am to make a difference our customers lives. They come to us as a last resort and it gives me the greatest satisfaction when I am able to retain and hear the customer say they are now happy.
