-Long Hours -Hard work pays -They had their own favourites -Management always ask me to assist other agencies -Working with my best team having fun
Working half day as a thank you for hard work.
Long hours and not taking lunch sometimes.
The Standard Bank as an institution is a big institution with big ambitions lead by highly educated group of leaders. I would say workwise it is challenging because of the competition with other banks, the introduction of high technology 4th generation and the unrealistic targets that are given to employees. In terms of upskilling and learning The Standard Bank is very good at upskilling and educating the employees examples they run a lot of workshops and training for employee to be well equipped but some of employees lack self confidence to face the word. If ever the management can trust and invest on its own employee by paying them very well and also show appreciation by awarding employees with a descent awards that a person can be proud of that particular achievement. I don't have a hardest part on my job because I believe into learning new smart ideas and if I come across a challenge I refer to my line manager or we find solution as a team. I really like and enjoy helping people more especially if what ever customer was applying for gets approved, that makes me feel so good because I believe I have made a positive difference in a customers life.
standard bank a very good company to work for however their is no consideration given to staff when they are faced with family responsibilities eg when once child if hospitalized for weeks , you will be contacted and asked when will you return to the office rather than how your child is doing, inhumane
good employee benefits
unrealistic working hours
Assists customers in the branch. Learned how to deal with different charactors, empathy and communication skill. Management is very supportive. We follow laid down procedures. Working under pressure and dealing with difficult customers. Learning new things everyday, EG, a query that challenges you to solve.
No free lunches
Working long hours without recognition or overtime salary.
Excellent working environment, good colleagues, great culture. Going to work every day was empowering as we built lifelong relations with each other as peers, colleagues and with our superiors. Managers could empathise and engage with employees on a professional and personal level. Though we had hard time and challenges we faced them together as a team. each day was insightful and interesting in its own positive way and we learnt a lot from each other, the Company as a whole and the products.
Team buildings, company events and functions, Hollidays and birhdays celebrated
High work volumes, High pressure

the working hours was good, because I will be having time to be home with my family after 4, we were working alternate Saturday and knock of early on weekend to rest. management use to put themselves on our shoes, having ICAS department if we want cancelling and talking.
receiving reward and incertives.
we had suprise retreanchment.
Working at this company has taught me a lot .i started as a letsema learner then my journey began to flourish .i have learned so much within such small period of time. They need people who are self orientated ,driven and focused and i was exactly just that .I feel that i have been in the same job spec for far too long now its time for change .We are given staff rates and motivational activities like campaigns and being champions as well as incentives .Management differs but i believe if you are a hard worker you should never experience managerial issues as no one loves to work with people who are not willing to participate in anything and not delivering .
8:00 - 16:00 monday - saturday (alternates on saturdays), meeting new people especially at the branch never a dull moment with some of the customers complaints, queries and stories regarding their accounts or life in general My first job experience, learned a lot by moving from one department to another or either from a processing centre to a branch.I have a great of experience when it comes to banking processes. team work, especially during the busiest time with is month end. having to deal with rude customers (having someone swear at you in front of other customers and your colleagues) being able to assist someone with a query(eg. stolen card), and they thanking me for the help
A best position as i liked being a solution change perceptions display our abilities presonal and organisations'.applying support to my team and customers alike.
Recognition for a job welldone
