I found SBSA to be an employer that is committed to developing talent in house which was great as I had no qualifications when I started my career with them. Through learnerships and L&D interventions I was able to gain the skills to find a position within the company that I was passionate about.
Daily comms meetings ,self discipline and integrity in every interaction with clients ,the culture was relaxed yet professional .The job was not easy as soon as you understand processes and what's required of you .What I enjoyed the most was that everyday experience was different ,no day was the same as the previous one that made the work exciting daily
Pros
great working enviroment
Cons
little growth and long hours
Values are not executed similarly in the organisation. Some business units and lleaders go directly against the values, including HR, while some are excellent in living the values and driving the organisational objectives and not their own agendas.
Pros
Great environment
Cons
Some senior leadership that do not live the values
Its a good company to work for with lots of benefits . I enjoyed doing what I was doing the hardest thing was to travel and leave my family.
In daily meetings:
* Discuss goals not achieved for previous working day
* Plan goals for current working day/
* Any obstacles to be dealt with/escalations
* Management will advise/investigate any complaints or escalations to be handled on management level
* Goals and KRI's are team orientated, therefore we work closely, assisting/brainstorming any obstacles
* The 'hardest' part of the job would be when systems are down - the day planned is disrupted but then the team discusses new goals and plans of action
* 'Most enjoyable' part of the job, when we've met and exceeded our targets and recognition is received from clients and management
Pros
Team building
Cons
IT department
