Thorburn security was a Best company that I have ever worked for. I learnt a lot during my working time. I have gained a lot of experience when it comes to security. Am able to identify security risk, able to manage large numbers of officers, able to work under pressure, also problems solving, and time management.

. working dayshift and not knocking off work night shift again. I have learned a lot about how people treat security officer good management. The hardest part is when the manager gives you a warning even if you not wrong. The enjoyable part is when you called for overtime

It was nice working for Thorburn , no issues with salaries. They pay overtime , holidays and bonuses. They provide enough uniform and offer free transport sometimes.

Stressful
SECURITY CONTRACT MANAGER (Former Employee) - Ogies, Mpumalanga - 16 August 2022
Report writing online, and reports also online.I learned to be more active on the laptop. Management was helpful. The hardest part of the job was to get the site covered due to the fact that the site was far from town and houses.

Do not have much to say.Lousy systems in place to report to.No leadership. Employees are forever compaining especially about their wages being short and having no replacement to swap dhifts with.

Professional for everything

timing for security industry I gain a lot of experience of working with people and being responsible for the for the safety of whole thing around the premise. The Management was so professional .workplace culture was accommodating everyone .hardest part of that job was a patrolling time 55 minutes for every hour for nightshift and standing still for the whole day on dayshift .The best enjoyable part was supervision because you only deal with paperwork, driving ,controlling security officers and follow the protocols of the client

My view is communicating with the manager Then my manager respond very quick too to me Respect the environment u work in as an officer Your client always right til it’s proven not As a security report your duty’s OB entry up too date at all times Always when u opening the premises inform your client at all time Report any suspicious activity too your control and your client at all times Make the site s covered officers are at there post Manager is informed when u close your site or off duty at all times .

Thorburn is a good company management treating everyone equal. Is a fair and company like there were no pay quiry and they were giving us over times to do extra income.

Tea time for 15 minutes and lunch for 45 minutes all was 1 hour

Work almist 6 years fo company before they lost contract due to internal issues , instead of them trying to accomadate us the force us to resign , poor management really dissapointed

All I can say thorburn is the company that taught me how to live out there and even the management was friendly,when it's comes to the coligues we were working competitively to each other just earn the bonus for the work done,I just appreciate the company I had a chance with them and I will appreciate more if they give me another opportunity to work with them.
