Not enough staff employed, therefore the non management staff have to pick up extra work. Management did not know what other positions entailed outside of their department. Starting salaries were very low and increases were take away if any mistakes were made.
Honestly this company ruined me in the sense that it gave off a false sense of progress and for me I think that is unforgivable. On the outside the company was portrayed to be doing well however on the inside there were despicable power struggles taking place, over worked employee's who continuously took on more work then they could handle and that was in their job description. A lot of fear was present in most employees as most just felt that they had no job security. The directors would let people go on a whim, even the most senior employees who had been with the company for more than 5 - 10 years and more. Absolute blind loyalty to a group who were heavily involved in favoritism and manipulative behavior. You wouldn't need a high level of understanding of behavioral and power dynamics to understand the manipulation that was taking place. Instill enough fear of losing your job and you can pay the bare minimum and withhold as much benefits as you please. Most would put on a pleasant smile for the directors but behind that most were having mental break downs weekly.The office environment changed quite drastically both positively and negatively. One thing that stood out was the cameras that were installed in the offices and throughout the building, it felt a bit much and sort of like everyone was being monitored. However the new offices changed the mood quite a bit and everyone seemed to be enjoying the new environment compared to the pigeon den that was Westway Centre.Lastly the treatment of junior employees was also quite tragic and a spectacle to some senior employees - more...
Team building, supportive staff, opportunity to learn if you are savvy
Lack of progression, no consideration for workload on employee's, fear tactics, no job security, few employee benefits
The people are friendly and one receives many benefits from working here, the management is fair occasionally and it was actually enjoyable working here.
