Productive and fun place to work at
Project Coordinator (Former Employee) - Sterling, VA - 2 April 2020
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThis is a family based company, with great people, hard working folks, that are quick to help anyone seeking to work hard and earn a significant role within the company. I have enjoyed working there tremendously and would recommend it to anyone.

Workspace
Internship (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - 18 October 2023
Turner is the best place everyone wishes to work because of the size of the company and the unique projects they have at hand. The payment was decent and the culture was exceptional. The only problem I can mention is that the team was not prepared for the intern as much as I expected them to be.

Lost in the masses
Engineer (Former Employee) - New York, NY - 20 September 2023
Some people may get proper training and experience. Others get thrown into projects without proper teaching and growth. Experiences can be very different depending on path and opportunity given.

Great company, corporate practices, fair advancement and pay.
Project Safety Manager (Current Employee) - Des Moines, IA - 25 August 2023
Turner Construction, overall, is a fantastic place to work. A lot of opportunities to advance if you have ambition and take initiative. Hard work and proactivity is rewarded and recognized. The other end of the spectrum is true as well, though. Underperformance and stagnation will likely get you demoted, or at least inhibit your growth potential. Good relationships with your supervisor can be very important if you're trying to climb the ladder. "Climbing the ladder" results in better compensation in most cases, just like any other corporation.
Pros
Good compensation, Fun work environment, Ever-changing projects, Mobility
Cons
Work hours aren't the best. Expected to work 10-12 hour days usually.

It's ok
Project Engineer (Current Employee) - Portland, OR - 20 August 2023
People are great but everyone expected to work 10-12 hours a day. Even if you finish your work early, it's frowned upon to leave after 8 hours of work.

Superintendent (Former Employee) - Alexandria, LA - 26 June 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? There was very little good. Very unorganized. Corrupt and do not take care of employees. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The workload. They tell you that your in one position but load you with stuff that you have no idea about and expect same results. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Very negative. If they do not like what you have to say, you are put down and penalized. They are very unlawful when it comes to rights and procedures. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Never know. Very unorganized company.

Good company - depends on supervisor
Engineering Assistant (Current Employee) - midwest - 8 June 2023
as long as you aren't switched over to a non construction role you will be fine. all office roles are not as good. the supervisor will determine the whole experience. my current one was hired late in the career and they bring their bad experiences here.

Good Place to work overall
Superintendent (Current Employee) - New York, NY - 21 May 2023
Overall good company, can move quickly through the ranks if you are dedicated and a hard worker. There is a kind of cult atmosphere though where you're expected to work all the time, especially if you are in the field. If you are an above average employee you end up working more to cover people just getting by. Expect to work 50-60 hour weeks plus weekends.

Accounting Dept-High Turnover

Poor management/supervisors in accounting dept. High turn over due to lack of proper training materials and zero internal support!. Heavy workload with no support. No respect for there new employees, cut throat and back stabbing culture. It’s all about “I” culture. Turn-off must be a social drinker in office during working hours. Clickest group!
Pros
Great health care benefits
Cons
Heavy workload and no support!
