No Comment as the circumstances changed and it was somewhat of a challenge to work under the management at that stage - lots of dismissals and lots of staff leaving due to pressure.

sucks

Horrible place to work in, not recommend. They think you're replaceable. I learn nothing beside watching the videos. They barely teach you anything, but make you stand like you don't know nothing without training. I worked my butt off, and the supervisor is rude and do not care about you. The only i enjoy is the weightlifting and exercises. it very physically demanding and tiring.

Regular warehouse work

It's tough physical labor. A thankless job. Some people are nice but some are not, there's not really an emphasis on culture. They def try to talk up certain 'benefits' that aren't really benefits

Productive,Competitive and fast pace

My day started at 11:00 i will be at work from 08:00 in the morning i will fist check my emails and respond to it immediately, then i go help out in the warehouse with, receiving and dispatching of cargo.By 11:00 i will go back to my desk and start confirming payments with the clients and upload collections, doing reports, preparing spreadsheets for finance, answering track and trace and query calls, uploading pod's,capture data on sharepoint, asist walk in clients, help the Dell operator, assist in our freight dept, fill in for the receptionist lunchtime, assist in brokerage. My manager was a very fair and strict lady, she supported me in whatever i tried to achieved within the company. We had a good and honest relationship. To live with the Company rules. Not be able to assist clients i a professional manner. Be able to be part of the whole team not just in my department, but in all the departments.

Pros

Cons

Working at ups was tough for week

I only say it was tough for a week because adjusting to graveyard hours was a small challenge and being sore from all the lifting from that week I would be doing but it wasn't a time consuming job I was still able to go out and do something in the daytime if I needed too and management was very helpful to new hires and made sure we didn't just stand around in one place

Company with opportunities to grow

As a service provider the company's main focus is customer service and delivery. In order to meet this, the company has high standards and procedures to adhere to. If you have the ability and willingness to make the customer your priority, this is definitely the company for you.

Driven and company history driven co.

A organization of over 105 years in age. Vety focused on its history and the pride in climbing through the ranks. Profit driven and very focused on statistical review and management. Every element of the company is measured and reviewed.

Pros

Stability

Cons

Activities can be over analyzed.

The hardest part of the job

UPS is a International company and as such each region reports into a district which prohibits basic decision making locally as all decisions is pending approval from Management at a District level, this is very frustrating as certain decisions/changes has to be made ASAP but due to the red tape is prolonged by District approval and impact the day to day operation.

i generally enjoyed working for ups since we were treating each other as a family and working as a unit to ensure that the work for the day is done,we were assisting each other to avoid and rectify mistakes during work. i had a common goal to achieve our mention of doing the good work of receiving, scanning inbound and outbound of packages as well as packing of packages on shelves.team work was the order of the day.
