volunteer educator (Former Employee) - Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape - 6 January 2019
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedUbuntu is a community center to cater for the needs of the poor from the poverty stricken communities of Port elizabeth. A typical day consists of different clients, seeking help for different needs, ranging from health care to mental health issues. I learned to be patient and empathetic. Management was uncompromising with the standard of work delivered and punctuality. As a result, the culture of the organization was impact driven, excellence was an unspoken expectation that all subscribed to. The hardest part of the job was going the extra mile for the clients--having to think proactively about each unique case. The enjoyable part of the job was the opportunity to interact with the youth--when they come in for the free extra lessons--and their hope and drive.
Pros
Walking distance from my house
Cons
Voluminous workload

The hardest part about my job was having to do two jobs at the same time, being at the bar and also beeing a runner. I enjoyed empacting the information that was empacted on me on other people, which inturn made me feel good that i have atleast done a difference.

Accounting Clerk (Current Employee) - Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape - 20 December 2016
The work place requires your undivided attention, maturity and at most requires overtime in order to meet deadlines.
Employees must always bring their best foot forward, complete dedication to work and very energized.
At all times you must be able to work in a team, be timeous and have complete honesty about deadlines.
Pros
Lots to learn
