A good company to work in.

The environment at Vodacom was good and the people were always on a high vibe. Staff was mostly in their early and mid 20s which made working in teams easier as we were in the same age group. The only thing that was a bit of an effort were the working hours. I found working sifts a bit of a challenge sometimes.

productive but no fun place to be

A typical day would be you getting to work on time and logging into the correct systems on time and assisting customers with any network related enquirers.. i learned that customers are always first and their needs tneed to be secured and aswell as their need us agents to guide them . the hardest part of that job was not being to asist a customer with problems that are out of your control

Pros

free cellphone contract

Cons

short breaks and longer hours with no salary increases

Productive however not a fun workplace

As the leading network service provider one would expect communication tools to be in place however there is a huge lack of communication...things just happen without official communication...if that can improve its a great company to work for.

Pros

Free lunches on team performances

Cons

Long hours up to 10 hrs per day, too short notice on shifts schedules, a great impact on your personal plans

Productive Environment

This was one of the best companies I worked for. The meaning of customer service really had true meaning. The environment was great and the hours were flexi. Clients always came first and it really taught me to honour such. Management was also flexi and also had an open door policy

Pros

Flexi hours

Cons

Not permanent

productive

It a great working place and I learned a lot not only based on profession but also the characteristics of different people and also their personalities. I have learned a lot on how to handle a customer and manage a work load. I have met new people, which is a great thing because I learn new things. The most enjoyable part is when a customer is happy with the assistance that he/she received, because in that way I see progress in what I do. The hardest part is when I have to knock off a 11pm and then take a thirty minutes walk to the taxi rand and end up arriving home late
