I feel that during the time I was working there the room for growth was limited because a person was not being made permanent and was not enjoying all the benefits of being employed

Temp position

worked shifts so all odd hours, was hard to really create a feel about company culture this is a hight turn over of employees and so you are always surrounded by different people.

Fun place to work

This was a temporary post and i was handling Retentions for corporate clients. It was exciting and enjoyable to talk to the who's who of the Corporate world and to simplify the upgrades for them and not take too much time out of their busy schedules.

Pros

No free lunches, there was a cafeteria where you can buy whatever food you wanted

Strict work environment

Very strict on time keeping and are not understanding when unforeseen circumstances arise. I learned a lot of about the various services they offer to the public. Management are not open to employees opinions and don;t have an open door policy. The culture is that of a factory production line. Assisting individuals that have no knowledge of cell phones. Interacting with people of various walks of life

Life balance

Vodacom is a very friendly environment , fun working with young people , only that the working hours are not nice. typical work at work is answering calls and handling clients queries

First stable Job

My first stable job that paid well at the time, learned good customer service skills and received consistent certificates for good performances. It was a great working environment and had i stayed at Vodacom and not left for the UK, i would most certainly have excelled to management

Had the best time with Vodacom said I had to leave after so many years.

1. Well by dealing with different people all the time you never know what to expert. 2. Well in sales you learn something new everyday. 3. Management was cool because also part of it so I made sure everybody was happy at work. 4. Well the hardest part was working long hours on the weekend and finishing at 9 at night some times at 10. 5. Is when you go home and you know you made the most sales that day.

Fun workplace

Learned to multi task and how to deal with difficult clients. Environment was young and vibey Enjoyed the free lunches Great management Hardest part was dealing with client who just not listen to reason ,and not team leader )to take the call(cal centre

Retail

working 8hours a day , 9 to 6 with one hour lunch, what i have learnt @vodacom that customer isn't always right, even thou we must make them believe that they right lol, my co-workers was very helpful, what i hate must about retail that i don't a social life, meeting new and different people every day and overcome many challenges, its also a test on how strong you really are when you face irate customers,

good invironment to work at and allows you to grow

fun working with a team helping out when others needed assistance, learned how to handle dificult clients and time management and the hardest part was dealing with difficult clients who needed utmost empathy and care but with a team i worked with it was all handled smoothly and im proud of the time and the team at vodacom bytes technology midrand

Energetic, fast paced environment

A typical day at Vodocom: I am given the opportunity to put a smile on customer’s faces. This demanding role keeps me on my toes which I enjoy. I work with a dedicated team which is fantastic. The hardest part of the job is not having the access to perform certain functions therefore you are reliant on others when customers are waiting. The vibe in the office is really cool

fun and enjoyable working environment

customer acquisition division it is a very fun and enjoyable environment for one to work at. i have been blessed with a great team of supervisors who are always willing to lend that extra hand, i have a great hard working team, the management is great always putting people's needs first, the hardest part about the job, is the working hours but i am used to the hours now, the most enjoyable part of the job is that, i am always free, not pressured but can handle pressure as the environment it is a high pressure environment

Fun work environment

A typical day at work would be a quick review on new products on the network and quick meeting with team leader then on to my work station to work on customer quiries,contracts or network solutions.I learned about time effiency and how important it is to use it wisely as everything revolves around it. My co-workers were as good as co-workers can be, i never expected much but was happy to get assistance from those who can. The was never really a hard part in my job except for the challenge of patience with people. The best part of the day is always the appreciation of clients after you i managed to help them out with a quiry or any problem that they might have had with our network. The manangement was very helpful in settling iinto the company and learning the ropes.

It was fun working there except the fact that I was a Temp for a very long time

I enjoyed working at Vodacom more especial in emails contact centre department. We were like one big family at that department starting from the cleaners, kitchen staff up to the management. Every week (tuesdays) we would have meeting whereby somebody who has done well (on serrvice level) would receive a price ( just a small price i.e sweets, chocolate, free lunch etc) and that was realy motivational. The hardest part at work it was when there is a long queue of emails coming in and because we were not meeting the service levels as the department and the management would not be happy about that.

Fun work place and hard work

There is a lot I learnt because that is where I learnt most values about customer service and how important one should take it, I was taught patience and attentiveness is key when dealing with customersmy co-worker were always willing to assist me when I was still new and management always acted professional and always where fairThe most enjoyable part I would say is learning new products and educating the customers about it
