I learnt alot as a intern, my mentor was very supportive, the department I was working with was very open and friendly. I would advise people who are looking for internships or to start their careers to apply.

Pros

Free coffee and snacks

Cons

Long hours and weekends without pay

Stressful work environment

I did not enjoy working at Volkswagen in South Africa. It was very stressful and they did not pay overtime at all.The work load was too much.People working with me did not want to work as a team and there was one person bullying everyone and there was nothing done about it.My experience was very bad. It may not be this bad in Australia

Productive, fast paced, shifts, pay isn't wonderful

I have been working there for 20+ years, good people, fast paced work and shifts, hate the shifts. Pay isn't good enough. I'm qualified but can't get a job in my trade because they insist you do extra training for a couple of years, so that's disheartening and people give up, it's like it's made difficult on purpose. Desperately looking for other work

Pros

Lease cars

Cons

Shifts, bad management, Beee, progress is slow, favoritism, have to do training on your own time

Fun Workplace

Working at VW can be amazing, as you meet your targets your job is easier, but on the same side if you are not meeting your targets it can be extremely stressful as your salary is linked to these targets

VW is the best company I worked for by far. They need to place people permanently after a certain period.

I worked as a press operator for a period of a year. I had the great experience as the work environment was pleasant from management and coworkers. I have learnt more discipline and teamwork importance. Vw was more interested in a person's wellbeing before pushing work demands. They believe that if a worker is well then they perform excellently. I would love to work with them on my last years before pension.

Pros

Rotation work

Cons

Adhering to safwty rulea at all times

its fun and nice people in the building

My first day it was weird because some people they don't want to talk with because I'm new to this company. what i learn you must focus to your position and other people alone. they all organize and they treat us equal, workplace culture don't relax work hard so that you can achieve what you want, the job was so enjoyable and lovey.

Productive and learning experience

I would like to work there again. Management was strict but that makes us good good entrepreneurs and good leaders for the future. My learned alot from my colleagues as well as supervisors. Was happy at work. They just need to adjust the basic salary as well as the commission and ir will be the best place to work at.

Pros

Every second weekends off

Cons

Long hours

It's better than lot other places out there, it gives lots of opportunities for personal growth experience wise and skill wise.

I would not exchange this work place that any other, there very much professionalism here. If I were to leave now it would only be for personal goals as now we are challenged by economic struggles.

Salary

They need to look at the basic salaries, though working for this company is great and the product sells itself but salary is not up to standard, Volkswagen is a great brand amongst other brands, I really enjoy being a VW employee, the professional training that the company provides for their staff,

Strict environment

Volkswagen Callcentre is a very strict environment where it demands target, they are strict in timing and work ethic, it takes alot of discipline and hard work to work your way up. However, they are very friendly.

Fantastic work culture

What a wonderful work experience to have been part of. the amount of information I learnt on how to deal with day to day tasks that FNI's take for granted were massive. This has given me the edge on the dealership floor.
