WCED
WCED Employee ReviewVery challenging field to work for
EDUCATOR (Former Employee) - Cape Town, WC - 30 June 2013
These is a field you can learn alot concerning curriculum , you need to be a good listener especially to the children you are teaching as some of them they need your love and your attention that they sometimes do not get at home due to different reasons, in what ever you doing you need to be a good management of time and also your classroom as everything is based on that, you must be a person who is willing to share your information with your co-workers and also listen to their ideas , a very friendly person the most enjoyable time for me its when I talk and listen to how they feel what makes them happy at school and at home and do they wish their classroom environment would be
Pros
Flexible working hours and alot of holidays
Cons
Ill disciplined learners

Educator/Teacher (Current Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 5 June 2021
Very stressful and time consuming. Leadership is not in line with real world issues. Ineffective communication between departments which leads to duplication of tasks. Departments also not on par with their job descriptions and often isn't aware of their core duties and obligations or how they fit into the 'chain' so that the company can run at its optimal potential.
Pros
You get paid on time.
Cons
Extra work without compensation.

Not that bad.
Educator (Former Employee) - Wynberg, Western Cape - 20 February 2020
There is no much to say about the western cape education department as it only focuses on the safety and security of the children. Depending on the school you worked at, mine was fine.

Teachers Assistant (Former Employee) - Cape Town, Western Cape - 9 June 2022
This job was okay for the most part. Interviews went well and was contacted within the same week. I learnt a lot and it is challenging and character building.
