Woolworths was such a place to be,I never get angry at work I always enjoyed my job with love and caring.Woolworths is the best with good Management and having 100% hygiene.
Worst company to ever work for from management to their leaders,no growth ,they don't care about staff but customers, they put customers first always..
Management are taught to never side with staff they don't care about you whether your is saved aslong as the big management it a happy, you work long hours before lunch, always have to wait hours to go to the bathroom
months ends are always busy being a till operator u must be very fast. its like you are 5 in one you work everywhere customer service must be excellent. understand customers able to listen to understand to be able to solve the problems acquire. learned that u treat the customers like their your family and you wont go wrong. know each department well for you not to waste time in finding things that customer wants. Problem solving must be very fast as u not the for one person, if u dont understand call the manager to assist.team work is very important without it u wont be able to achieve the goal of the day nor of the month. learn that going extra mile its very important not only for yourself but also for the company. having a difficult customer who doesn't want to understand the policy infrant of them. getting rewards( gift cards/ vouchers) for best customer service/ best selling of airtimes.

I have gained the much needed experience which has proven to be vital for my progress as a haelth professional.During my time at Woolworths I learned how to be a team player and also going an extra mile for the customers. This trait have I carried over into the workplace whereby I always ensure that my clients experience the quality services. My time there also helped me to find a better way of dealing with adverse situations.
work space culture is fast paced and extremely interactive. a customer based environment which means a lot of communicating with customers. management friendly and informative
you learn a lot and individual development
long working hours
You learn how to work with people on an daily basis. You an all rounder you work on the floor sometimes. You learn how to work as a team. You have great customer service. You always help where you can with the customers. You give the customers the best experience so that they have to come back for a next time. The hardest part is when you have to keep your head with your float when the shop is busy.
If only they can give us a steady salary then it would be nice. Everyone who is doing the same job and started at the same time working same hours but don't earn same salary.
Yes we used to get free lunches
Yes we worked long hours but it was your choice not forced
I would arrive at work and start dealing with customers from morning till the late in the evening. I learnt to bear in mind that customers are different and should not be treated any different to any other customer. The management of Woolworths is bureaucratic. They believe in team work and integrity. Having to assist various queries of various customers all at once. You gain recognition for your hardwork.
