Working in Woolworths has been a very good and valuable life experience. I've met great people and become friends with many customers. Management was good. Always put customers first and then employees before themselves. Overall - good working experience.
The wage salary is very low an cost of living is high especially when you have a family then tou cannot make ends meet so basicly you working for travelling work enviroment no problems if you love people an love communicating with others its quite a lovely place to work but the salary is far to little as woolworths
Hard work pays off and being recognised for the dedication service work you do for the company by management is good. I learned a lot and there is room for improvement. Let the right people management be fair and acknoweledge others. May we work as a team and grow together not demolise ones chara
I started out working for the company when I was only 16 years of age back in the year 2000. It has been the best years of my life. Woolworths is the best company that anyone can ever work for. The only regret I have is leaving the company more than once due to personal circumstances. I would definitely recommend to anyone to go and work for the number 1 retail company in the world.
I have learned a lot about different customersand how to handle or treat them, however I need to make sure that even though customers are different but I need to keep and maintain my relationship with them. We treat all our customers the same ,make every moment memorable (CUSTOMER FIRST) Do the right thing, the right way(RESPONSIBILITY) Sometimes I experience a difficult moment at work failing to help customer with something she's looking for so by that time it's not in our store so I have to refer to another store and that will be a loss in my store I have enjoyed working in my company because you meet different people everyday with different characters and you learn a lot from them
We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!

A very good staff discount
Working for Woolworths has allowed me the incredible opportunity to gain experience in the retail world and in customer service. The management is made up of incredible people who are approachable and professional. Staff are treated with respect and equality. The hardest part of the job was having to work under cold conditions (food market) and working on Sundays. The best and enjoyable parts of the job were being able to build relationships with customers , working with wonderful staff who became like family to me and of course staff discounts 😄
Here I work as a sales assistant/till operator and it's honestly a blast interacting with different people everyday. Management is always there to help, I do however feel we are underpaid .
