This is a very good company to work for. The collaboration from the staff is really helpful and welcoming. The benefits are great including the discounts that we as the staff receive.
Free coffee and tea plus benefits are awesome
The hardest part of my job was working with what you have meaning not all the time you get receive the equipment that's needed for the task
I enjoyed working for the company mainly because I now have good management skills and can work under pressure and still finish all tasks at the given time
Woolworth needs to invest more on their staff members' well being not only focusing on their retirement future, but also on the daily well being of their hard working staff members that give their all to making the store what it is on a daily basis.
The end results of hard work put in stores
Long unrewarded hours
Management doesn't assist with development and growth of staff. They promote they favorites, instead of people with potential. Race always plays a factor when comes to promotions.
Waste, buying food products on a low price
Poor leadership and long hours
Work hard it sure pays off, stay in your lane embrace your character, there’s no need for you to rush for you to reach Management Status work hard and let it show that what’s going to get you noticed and always remember to welcome your customers and always smile

Achieved goals. Due to a well planned team of managers . learnt in depth visual old school skills. Objectives and task the right way, the first time. Due to my in depth knowledge of my skills. I trained and upskilled new staff. Also staff that were struggling with their current work load. Achieved an NQF 3 SETA certificate in 2013. A Non accredited NQF 4 Management training within Woolworths. Please see CV for the complete training attended. The most enjoyable part of my job was my team. Along with my manager we stood strong and took the store through, revamps and new heights visually.

as a visual merchandiser i learnt new things everyday as we were the face of the store,i have learnt to deal with head harded customer, the hardest part of the job was when we launching,we get so busy and even forget that we have to eat, enjoyable part is when we dressing up the manniques and styling them however you think it will make sales and when you finally see that you did sell whatever you dressed you were getting recognation from your core workers
Normally my day starts at 9am and ends at 6pm but i work flexi hours so it dose not always stay the same. since i have started working here i have made so many friends and even family, the staff members are very friendly we work well together as a team. the hardest part of my job is when we have to launch a certain occasion that is big e.g.. Christmas, Easter, Mother's day etc. and we have so much to do in a short space of time. the part that i do enjoy though is that we get to work while listening to music, i love that you are allowed to put in some of you're creativity in you're work.
Work like no other day taking one day at a time coming up with new ideas, physical labor got hard at times but pulled through it as the days went on, i enjoyed designing the display window
get to communicate with people
