Full job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire housekeeping department.
  • Supervise Housekeeping Managers, Supervisors, Cabin Stewards, Public Area teams, and Laundry staff.
  • Ensure guest cabins, suites, public areas, and crew areas meet luxury cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct inspections and quality audits throughout the ship.
  • Develop cleaning schedules and manage manpower planning.
  • Control housekeeping budgets, supplies, linen inventory, and operating costs.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation, hygiene, and public health requirements.
  • Handle escalated guest complaints and service recovery.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping personnel.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Marine departments.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain department performance standards.
  • Ensure emergency procedures and safety regulations are followed.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of housekeeping experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
  • Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or senior supervisor.
  • Strong leadership and large-team management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of cleaning standards, sanitation procedures, and inventory control.
  • Experience working with luxury guest expectations.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a multicultural team in a high-pressure environment.

Pay: R30 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
