Purpose of the Role

Support the Human Resources team in driving digital transformation, data analytics, process improvement, and HR technology initiatives. The graduate will gain practical experience in HR systems, workforce analytics, automation, and digital workplace solutions while contributing to projects that enhance employee and manager experiences.

Key Responsibilities

HR Analytics & Reporting

• Assist with HR data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Support the development of dashboards, reports, and workforce analytics.
• Create data visualizations and monitor HR metrics and KPIs.
• Contribute to planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.

HR Digital Solutions

• Support the design and enhancement of digital HR tools and workflows.
• Create and assist with SharePoint sites, employee self-service portals, and digital forms.
• Contribute to workflow automation using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Support knowledge and document management initiatives.

HR Process Improvement

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes.
• Assist in reviewing and optimizing employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, learning administration, and performance management.
• Support document standardization and governance activities.
• Action GAMA activities related to hiring process.

Systems & Technology (main focus on HR impact)

• Assist with relevant system enhancements, testing, and implementation activities.
• Support business requirements gathering and process documentation.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management activities.
• Help maintain data quality and system integrity.
• Support with solution design workshops.

Data Governance & Information Management

• Support data quality reviews and data cleanup initiatives.
• Assist with records management, document lifecycle management, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to HR data governance and reporting accuracy.

Business Analysis, Data analytics and business intelligence

• Support in process mapping and documenting requirements and gap analysis identification.
• Document current-state and future-state process design.
• Identify improvements.
• Develop Power BI dashboards, data modelling, forecasting models, scenario planning executive reporting and data visualization.

AI & Automation

• Support the identification of automation opportunities, mainly focus on HR processes.
• Assist with Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Participate in process automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Project Support

• Assist with project planning, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Support stakeholder engagement and coordination activities.
• Contribute to HR projects, research, and innovation initiatives.

Your qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Commerce degree or Advanced Diploma in any of the related below:

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Interest in data analytics, reporting, and digital technologies.
• Basic understanding of Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, or Power Automate will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of HR operations and South African labour legislation would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience

• No prior work experience required.
• Academic projects, internships, or exposure to HR systems, data analysis, reporting, automation, or digital technologies will be advantageous
