We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our IT security, network infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing secure IT environments, ensuring compliance with global standards, and driving innovation in fintech and digital channels. This role is pivotal in enhancing Africawide’s technological capabilities and supporting its growth in fintech, management consulting, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Security and Compliance:

 Oversee the design and implementation of secure networks, ensuring adherence to global security standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.

 Lead vulnerability assessments, incident response, and threat management to safeguard company assets.

 Manage endpoint protection, firewall configurations, and SIEM tools to maintain a secure IT environment.

 Develop and deliver IT security training programs for employees across the organization.

 Establish and enforce disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Network Infrastructure Management:

 Manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of Africawide’s LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure.

 Collaborate with service providers to ensure high network uptime and robust SLA management.

 Monitor server and network performance, troubleshoot issues, andoptimizeoperations.

Digital Transformation and Fintech Projects:

 Drive the development and implementation of digital channels, including mobile banking platforms and self-service kiosks.

 Partner with stakeholders to create roadmaps for digital innovation and transformation projects.

 Evaluate fintech trends, partnerships, and market opportunities to inform strategy.

 Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Strategic Leadership:

 Serve as a technical advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on IT security and digital innovation.

 Build and maintain relationships with vendors, alliance partners, and regulatory bodies.

 Prepare reports and presentations on IT security, compliance, and digital transformation for governance committees.

 Ensure the alignment of IT strategies with organizational goals and future scalability.

Required Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

 Professional certifications such as PCI ISA, PCIP, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementor, or equivalent.

 Strong technical skills in Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, Alien Vault SIEM, and related technologies.

 Hands-on experience in compliance management (PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001).

 Proven experience managing IT security, network infrastructure, and digital transformation projects.

 Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.

 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

 Experience in fintech, mobile banking, or digital channel management.

 Background in implementing IT systems in financial or healthcare industries.

 Experience working across multiple countries or in international organizations.
