Full job description

Skills and Qualifications:

* Matric / previous medical experience.

* ICD-10 Coding and procedure coding.

* Knowledge and understanding of blood results.

* Strong communication skills.

* Good interpersonal skills.

* Good time management skills.

* Good organising and filing skills.

* Must be proactive and take responsibility.

* Applicants must be computer literate. The practice operates on GoodX.

* Enter patient details and procedures accurately on the computer. Medical program (GoodX)

* Fluent in English.

* Respond timeously to emails and patient queries.

* To undertake complete reception duties, providing optimum service to all.

* The ability to prioritise a busy workload.

* Answer the telephone and resolve queries or direct them to relevant parties.

* Greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing patients appropriately and professionally.

* Assist patients with the completion of patient information forms.

* Prepare invoices and take payments from patients and issue receipts.

* Ensure all data is recorded accurately and efficiently, and patient records are up-to-date.

* Scanning documents into the system, i.e., referral letters, medical aid cards, etc.

* Typing of Dr.’s reports from Dictaphone. Administration of doctor’s notes and referrals.

* Book appointments for patients, ensuring that the appointment system runs smoothly.

* Arranging any necessary follow-up appointments for patients.

* Liaise with other healthcare providers for continuity of care.

* Confirm authorisation for specific procedures.

* Able to handle confidential and sensitive information.

* Understand POPIA

Details:

  • Workdays and hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
  • Remuneration: Depending on expertise, qualifications, and competence.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month
