Patient Care
- Assessing patients’ health conditions
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Administering medications and treatments
- Assisting with diagnostic tests and interpreting results
- Developing and updating nursing care plans
Communication & Coordination
- Collaborating with doctors and healthcare teams
- Educating patients and families about illnesses and treatment plans
- Advocating for patient needs and safety
- Providing emotional support to patients and families
Documentation
- Recording patient histories and progress
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Reporting changes in patient conditions
Clinical Procedures
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Starting IVs and managing intravenous therapy
- Operating medical equipment
- Assisting in surgeries or emergency procedures when needed
Safety & Compliance
- Following infection-control protocols
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and ethical standards
- Supervising licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistants
