Anchor Holdings is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Worker to support our warehouse operations. This role is ideal for a physically fit individual with FMCG experience who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Job Purpose

To support the day-to-day warehouse operations by performing general labour duties including loading, offloading, cleaning, and assisting with the movement and handling of bulk goods. The role ensures that operational efficiency, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and offload cargo manually or using basic equipment.
• Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss.
• Direct and guide MHE operators during loading and offloading.
• Assist with sorting, stacking, palletizing, and moving bulk stock.
• Support dispatch preparation and general warehouse activities.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards, including cleaning warehouse floors, loading bays, machinery areas, scales, and storage zones.
• Remove waste, packaging, and debris safely and promptly.
• Report any safety hazards, damages, or irregularities to supervisors.
• Support forklift drivers, machine operators, tally clerks, and supervisors when required.
• Use basic warehouse tools and equipment responsibly and report defects immediately.

Minimum Requirements

• National Senior Certificate (Matric).
• FMCG industry experience is essential.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
