IT Systems Administration Position
Job Title: IT Systems Administrator
Location: South Africa
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator to manage and support our
internal systems, client hosting environments, cloud infrastructure, domains, email services, and website
platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting abilities and experience working with
multiple technologies including Cloudflare, hosting platforms, DNS management, WordPress, and business
email systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT operations, supporting clients, troubleshooting
technical issues, and assisting with infrastructure improvements across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration
- Monitor and maintain internal IT systems and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot software, network, hosting, and system-related issues
- Diagnose and resolve technical support tickets efficiently
- Document procedures, solutions, and technical workflows
- Create support guides and training materials where necessary
Domain & DNS Management
- Manage domain registrations, transfers, renewals, and DNS configurations
- Configure and troubleshoot DNS records including:
o A Recordso CNAME
o MX
o TXT
o SPF
o DKIM
o DMARC
o SRV records
- Assist with domain migrations and bulk onboarding projects
- Work with Cloudflare and hosting providers for DNS management
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Configure and manage Cloudflare services
- Manage DNS zones and security settings
- Assist with onboarding domains into Cloudflare
- Investigate and implement migration strategies
- Monitor website performance and security settings
Email Administration
- Configure and troubleshoot email systems
- Set up IMAP/POP/SMTP email accounts
- Assist users with Outlook, Apple Mail, Android and iPhone email configuration
- Diagnose email delivery problems
- Investigate spam and blacklist issues
- Configure and troubleshoot SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication
- Support mailbox migrations and forwarding configurations
Web Hosting & Website Support
- Support WordPress websites
- Maintain Elementor-based websites
- Troubleshoot website layout, mobile responsiveness and performance issues
- Assist with SSL setup and website migrations
- Work with hosting control panels and web hosting environmentsClient Support
- Provide technical assistance to clients via email, calls, and support channels
- Explain technical issues in user-friendly language
- Escalate complex issues where required
- Follow up and maintain strong client relationships
Database & Platform Administration
- Assist with SQL queries and database updates
- Support cloud platforms and admin portals
- Assist with deployments and platform configuration updates
Requirements
Technical Skills
- Experience with WordPress and Elementor
- Experience with Cloudflare
- Understanding of DNS and domain management
- Experience with email systems and protocols
- Knowledge of IMAP, SMTP, POP, SSL/TLS
- Familiarity with hosting environments and cPanel-like platforms
- Basic SQL/database knowledge
- Understanding of website troubleshooting and migrations

- 1–3+ years experience in IT support, systems administration, hosting, or related fields
