Technical Field Support Technician/ Electrician

The Role

We are looking for a Stage Zero Installation Electrician who is more than just a technician. You are the face of our technical excellence on the ground. You will be responsible for the maintenance and oversight of our cutting-edge solar and backup systems, ensuring our clients stay powered up no matter the stage of load shedding. This is an autonomous role for someone who is self-driven, technically elite, and enjoys building strong client relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Execute high-level electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on residential and commercial SSEG (Small-Scale Embedded Generation) systems.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance work strictly adhere to SANS 10142-1 standards.
• Manage and configure communication systems, including ModBus and RS485 protocols.
• Interface with our proprietary Mobile Applications and WiFi setups to ensure seamless system monitoring for our clients.
• Provide professional, articulate, and client-focused support during site visits.
• Work independently in the Bloemfontein area, managing your schedule and technical deliverables with high energy and precision.

What You Bring to the Table

• Certification: Industrial Trade Tested Electrician.
• Legal: Current DOL Registration as an Installation Electrician (Non-negotiable).
• Experience: 5–10 years of solid experience in Electrical Maintenance.
• Technical Mastery: Exceptional, up-to-date understanding of SANS 10142-1.
• Specialization: Proven knowledge of, or qualifications relating to, SSEG Systems.
• Tech Savvy: Proven knowledge of communication systems (ModBus, RS485), and a strong comfort level with mobile apps and WiFi configuration.
• Digital Literacy: High level of computer literacy and proficiency.
• Communication: You must be well-spoken and articulate, and you are comfortable explaining technical concepts to clients.
• Advantageous: A PV Green Card qualification will put you at the top of our list.
