Overview
We are seeking an experienced operational leader from the skills development, training, learnership, or education sector to take ownership of a busy training and skills development environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of accredited learning programmes, compliance requirements, learner administration, facilitator coordination, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will oversee both the operational and academic functions of the campus while ensuring compliance with all QCTO, SETA, DHET, accreditation, assessment, moderation, and quality assurance requirements.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Skills Development Manager, Academic Manager, Programme Manager, Training Operations Manager, Learning Centre Manager, or Campus Manager looking to take ownership of a multi-functional training environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of accredited learning programmes
- Coordinate learner onboarding, learner administration, attendance, and learner support activities
- Manage facilitator scheduling, programme delivery, timetables, and workplace-based learning activities
- Ensure learning programmes are delivered according to operational plans and client requirements
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Manage accreditation and quality assurance requirements
- Maintain QMS systems, policies, procedures, and academic documentation
- Coordinate assessments, moderation, verification, and certification activities
- Ensure compliance with QCTO, SETA, ETQA, DHET, and regulatory requirements
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate project delivery against timelines, budgets, and performance targets
- Manage relationships with clients, facilitators, workplace hosts, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders
- Compile operational and compliance reports for clients and management
- Support workplace hosting arrangements and learner placement initiatives
Skills Development Administration
- Support WSP and ATR processes
- Assist with Skills Development Facilitation activities
- Monitor learner progress and programme outcomes
- Ensure accurate learner records and reporting systems are maintained
RequirementsEssential Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within:
- Skills Development
- Learnerships
- Training Operations
- Academic Administration
- Learning and Development
- TVET or Accredited Training Environments
Strong Working Knowledge Of
- QCTO requirements
- SETA processes
- Accreditation management
- Assessments, moderation, and verification
- Skills Development legislation
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Additional Requirements
- Strong project coordination and operational management experience
- Experience managing facilitators, learners, and stakeholder relationships
- Excellent reporting, administration, and organisational skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) advantageous
